Null anomalies and DED goal

So id like to start doing some null anomalies and DED but I've trained primarily into blasters for my Incursus. What's a decent long/short term goal for a gallente looking to get into what I'd like?

Also I'm not a huge fan of drones, I'd prefer to go with some type of turret.

Your character is Gallente, but it doesn't mean that you are doomed to use gallente ships only.
You can very well cross-train with other races skills, it's not much more time, as the core skills are shared.
The goal is to use the right tool for the right job.
In fact the race of ships you will use depends of the type of damages you need to deal and the ones which you need to resist.
You can Study the natural resist profiles of every kind of ships in evelopedia for example. Difference beetwen races, between T1 and T2, etc...
When you know where you will operate, you know which race and type of ship you need to use.
You said that you don't like drones. It's sad, because one of the advanges of the drones is that you can choose which type of damages you do, so you can adapt easily. I give you that since one year or so, mobile drones have becomed very wulnerable due to the changes in the agro system, but the sentries do a great job, really. If you stay only with gallente ships, without drones, it means that you will only use hybrid turrets, and that you will only be able to deal kinetic/thermal damages. So you lose already half of the possibilities.
I would start from the other end of the problem : i'd find an active corpo with whom i feel good. I'd see where they operate, what kind of npcs they meet, and then i'd know in which race/weapons i'd invest. in the meantime, you can always train your core skills, which you will need whatever you fight in EVE.

Blasters do kinetic/thermal damage, which works decently against all rats. Unless you try to maximize ISK/hr from L4 missions don't worry about it.

And Gallente do have a turret ship line - Incursus, Thorax, Brutix, Megathron/Hyperion. Their above average drone bays are just a bonus.

Wanting to do null anoms and DED sites is one thing, being able to is another. Any serious null corp will want you capable of flying doctrine ships to PVP (sov-defence, roams, whatnot) and those can be any race mix, including drones.

Sure you can try to go solo or join a corp that does only PVE, but whether you want it or not, in null, PVP will find you and I don't really see any decent null corp going to take someone along that just wants to rat in their space. You want to rat, you help defending it.

That said, if you still want to go that way, I'd suggest you get familiar with drones, train an alt for the Ishtar and T2 sentries (unless the recent HAC rebalance seriously nerfed it), if they're not 23/7 CTA hopefully you'll get some time to spare for PVE and it's an almost afk ISK machine in anoms.
