Best way to increase security status?

What is the best way to increase you security standing beyond 0.0?

I was told that it's only the rats with the largest bounty, which you killed within the 5 minuets, that increase your security status, and this is per system.

Does this means you can only get a 12 ticks pr. hour?, one each 5 minutes. Should i aim for system with low true sec?, or is that irreverent.

I was planing on using a 500 dps stealth bomber and going to npc null, is this a bad idea?, are there better suited places?.

I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Multiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous.

IIRC there's special CONCORD missions that will get your status up to 5.0 or something

I ratted my sec status once in Great Wildlands using hound, made approx 300mil and lifted myself from -8.9 to almost zero and that was before those changes so sec status tick was 15 minutes. Now it is easier with 5 minutes ticks although sometimes BS rats won't spawn fast enough in one system so either you just kill whatever is there or move between systems like you used to with longer tics. I'm not sure about truesec influencing sec status increase but I would say it is, it definitely influences bounties.

^ This.

GW is largely deserted away from the 3 station systems, the main routes from empire (B-VIP9 to 7Q-8Z2) and the Scalding Pass to Konora/Geminate/Cache route. The pipe from N-DQ0D to BRT-OP is usually dead and there is a system with a truesec of -1.0 up there (V-IH6B). There's some huge warps in the pipe (200AU+) so plenty of places to lose people even if you don't have a cloak.

That only works up to 0 sec status and OP is already above that.

Incursions are good, since you are continuously killing Sansha Battleships/Cruisers around the clock.

ah, oops, I missed that, that's what you get for being a pirate. What use is it btw to get your sec to 0+? Just as a buffer to lose it again by ganking?
or is it some kind of unfathomable carebear thing?

Honestly I don't know what sec status above 0 can be used for except buffer when you slip into dark side. I never kept it positive long enough to get curious about possible advantages :)

this guy is correct. great isk and your sec status sky rockets. i am considering podding in low sec again it goes up so fast.

Positive sec status means i don't have to live with you freaks in the third world countries known as low and null-sec... only problem is i like to terrorize the hi-sec locals, and i'm close to getting kicked out of the cool kids club. So now i have to go to null to get my security back up, and needless to say i want to make the time i spend in that awful foul smelling place a short a humanly possible.

The hole security status system is fundamentally flawed, i'm rich and i should be allowed to shot whoever i want whenever i want, and when concord shows up i should be able to make them go away by paying them. In fact i should be able to pay concord to kill people for me, why do i need to undock and do it myself.

That is a one-time deal to get your status above 5.0, not 0.0, which it says right there in the very article you linked.

Shocked
you do realize that you lose sec faster when it's higher, right?

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

And you gain sec faster when it's lower. So there is no use in building up a huge positive buffer.

Ratting anoms in null is probably one of the fastest. Can easily get a full point a week for sec status 1-5. I thought the ticker was based off 15 minutes, measuring the biggest kill in that time. 5-or 15, either way, you are correct in assuming that all you really need to do is kill one big bad boy in tat time period for maximum effect. But then again, might as well just go killing for an hour and make isk while at it.
