So yea, I can't for the life of me figure out why Guiristas can permajam me...

Kind of blows getting jammed for 5 straight minutes.. >.<

Pretty much the only way to counter this is drones?

Drones, FoF missiles, or fit ECCM. From what I understand the active mid-slot ECCM is much more effective than the passive low-slot. Also it may take a while sometimes but eventually there's a break in the jamming.

There is also 4 skills that increase the sensor strength of your ships by 4% per level.

Gravimetric Sensor Compensation = Caldari
Ladar Sensor Compensation = Minmatar
Magnetometric Sensor Compensation = Gallente
Radar Sensor Compensation = Amarr

I pew you too! <3

I countered this very effectively - by relocating to an agent that almost never puts me against Guristas rats.

All other E-War I can deal with. Jamming is just infuriating. And I'm not sacrificing midslots and SP just to have a chance to resist it from misison rats.

Some ships are better at resisting jams as well which is often the difference between infuriating and only annoying...

Personally I find all kind of Ewar annoying (apart from weapon distruption - missiles are cool with that).

A present its sensor damping that the pain for me. Since I work on range sniping not being able to target beyond 17km in a slow moving ship is very frustrating.

Sensor Strength: Attack Cruisers
* Caldari Caracal: 16
* Amarr Omen: 15
* Gallente Thorax: 15
* Minmatar Stabber: 13

Generally Minmatar ships always have the lowest sensor strength, and can be quite frustrating without ECCM vs. Guristas.

Caldari ships always have the highest sensor strength, and the missile boats can use Auto-Targeting missiles (formerly called Friend-or-Foe missiles or F.o.F.) which hit the nearest valid target (so closely orbit what you want to hit).

Drones are a option too, though they must be deployed and set aggressive before you are jammed.

If you have a friend (or alt) who can do missions with you you can also remote eccm each other in a way like spider tanking, it also helps because while the jamming rats focus on one the other can kill them.
