Why is there a difference in skill points on the profile?

On the profile on the website, why are there two different skill point totals? For example, mine is below:


Skill points
2,146,895 (70 skills)

Currently training
Science Level 4
Finishes 2013-09-20 00:37
9h 2m 17s Remaining

Current skills: 70 (skill points: 3,494,801)

So one are says 2,146,895 and the other says 3,494,801. Kind of confusing. I want to make sure I have the appropriate clone in place D:

In some places, the SP corresponding to the advancement of the currently training skill aren't included, but if you want to be sure your med clone is up to date, pick according to the higher counter. Better safe than sorry.

it's probably caused by the API caching.

the top looks like it's a cached API pull, but the bottom (in the "Skills" tab), updates as time passes.

go with the bigger number. with your SP totals, you're gonna be needing (IIRC) a delta.

edit -- also, the game will grey-out clones that don't have a sufficient SP capacity.

I have found Eve Gate's skill point system to be rather incorrect in some places. Namely the time remaining and skill points required listed next to a currently training skill, under the Skills tab. As you noted the skill point totals are also different.

Actually, it's a bug in the forum, you can igore the higher value. It somehow calculates your currently training skill wrong.

Because, according to it, this char has
9,864,085 (69 skills) or
Current skills: 69 (skill points: 71,830,920) <- !!!

I definitely do NOT have 71 million skill points.
Also, in the skill I'm currently training, I have 62,178,271 of 1,280,000 SP ...

I'm gonna have to go ahead and report you for hacking the game :)

I figured it was a bug but I was just curious haha. Thanks for the info.
