oh really again? (patching client breaks it completely)

seriously, i even ran from direct, patched then it decided to patch the launcher even though its utter **** anyway, now it loops.

Have you tried running the repair tool?

I use win 7 64bit and this problem has come since 1.1 only with an exception on every update .. I have downloaded and reinstalled the game 8 times in the last couple of weeks .. since 1.1 only my pc has not changed.... thats everytime there has been an update since 1.1 .. not 8 times in one day.. It works fine until after downtime if there is an update. previous to yesterdays update I had a couple of days where i could play freely without downloading 5gigs which was nice.

I have been playing eve for 8 years and never had such a problem .. I have been to the 5 month old sticky thread which obviously have nothing to do with this new problem .. I have submitted bug reports .. I have submitted tickets with the exception messages the only response i've had are useless badgering from players and an isd shutting down my rage spam thread.

Many other players are experiencing these issues since 1.1. I expect some people haven't got the time or the bandwidth to keep downloading new clients so probably have not played .. I know if this had happened in the past 8 years before I was on fibre optics I certainly wouldn't have been able to re download client every day or so ..

We evidently need some old Icelandic devs to solve this .. the new devs are all too arrogant and self centred to even lift a finger beyond there own little crusade of ego.

Yesterday I was very upset that it happened again and thought about quitting seriously.. and If I do it will be 3 accounts after 8 years of seamless gaming and no one will get my stuff I will simply erase eve from my life.

I have the same issue and I can't keep re-downloading the damn client again. I'm not longer renewing my subscriptions until the terrible new developers figure out how to properly release patches.

Support has also been useless.

hey there again.
Still expiriencing the same problems on my home pc. was able to patch my laptop at work and then copy the patch to my home pc...after that it patches. SInce i heard that some people that expirience the same problems also have mobile internet devices (usb) may thats where the problem lies. Well I send in a bug report and I am waiting for a response...
It can not be the solution that I have to drive 50 km to patch my my home computer around 2 corners...

My usb wireless worked fine upto this 1.1 patch though .. and all my other games launchers/updaters work fine. Then most launcher/updaters actually have analysis and repair tools in them too i suppose. Well this one is supposed to.

I am sincerely sorry for all the people with limited bandwidth having this problem. I imagine some of them haven't played eve for weeks. Still, they can look forward to the silly new skill catagories, if they come back.

I have been sending in tickets and emails for weeks. I can't log in any of my accounts so I am slowly unsubbing them all. Maybe if CCP gets things right I will take the time to install the game in the future. At this point it is much easier to walk away and find other things to occupy my time with.

Good luck with getting help with this issue, or any other. I quit playing EA games because of the deplorable state of customer service, I suppose I leave Eve Online and CCP for the same reason.

Funny enough with yesterdays patch the launcher, which was still broken even after a new client install last week, started finally to work again after the update.

Guess I was the lucky one this time.

Edit: Going to do a repair tool test tomorrow. That one was broken too last week.

Remove standings and insurance.

Got back a mail from a Gm in response to my error-log.
He stated that this was "an issue" that has been observed. A new install "seems to fix" the problem.
That was all.

I guess I have to file another one.
