You've read this:

http://store.steampowered.com/news/11436/

Does this mean that I can share my eve account with friends and let my buddies in Australia and the US borrow my eve account to boost their mining with my orca while I am at work or sleeping?

I know that Eve says we cannot share accounts, but how does eve know if my buddy "checks out" my eve account.

Can;t wait for 23/7 gate camps and mining ops.

I'd like to know how your buddies in Australia and the US are all using your computer?
I think you need to re-read the article.

Once a device is authorized, the lender's library of Steam games becomes available for others on the machine to access, download, and play.

Plus, no matter what Steam does, Eve itself has rules about account sharing. Those are the rules you should read before handing access details to your friends.

Can all Steam games be shared with friends and family?

No, due to technical limitations, some Steam games may be unavailable for sharing. For example, titles that require an additional third-party key, account, or subscription in order to play cannot be shared between accounts.

even without reading more than the first line i think it's fairly obvious the sharing part is the game client, not the account you log in with.
