Faction Navy Tankable?

I know Concord means death, but I'm not sure about the faction navy's.

Seems I've gone and kick the hornets nest by not watching my Faction standing while running missions for the Amarr navy.
So Kinda wondering do I have to worry about the faction navy popping me when I head into enemy space, or is it possible to tank them and maybe make them go pop.

I know you can't do this with concord and to find a way is against the EULA or something like that but is this also the same for the faction navys?

Thanks

The Navy doesn't mean death.

I've never tried to stay and fight them, so I don't know whether you can make them go pop. But try shooting at them with your safety on first, as I don't know whether that might alert CONCORD.

But they will not warp-scramble you, they take a bit to lock you and their damage can be tanked. So you can still travel thru enemy space as long as you fly something that it either nimble or tanky. And it's definitely not against the EULA.

Okay so... if I recall correctly... you have 3 levels of NPC "police"

Faction Navy
Faction Police
CONCORD

The Faction Navy attacks "enemy" militia (see: Faction Warfare people) in high-sec. They CAN be tanked by a battleship in the lower end high-sec systems and do not apply warp scramblers... only webs and racial Ewar.

Faction Police attack anyone with low faction standing and/or low security status in high-sec. They too can be tanked... but they hurt a bit more than the Faction Navy. They apply their racial Ewar in addition to webs AND scrams.

CONCORD insta-gibs anyone who illegally aggresses in high-sec (and to avoid this punishment is considered an exploit). Response time varies according to security status of the system.

I didn't realize the difference between Faction Navy and Faction Police, thanks for clearing that up.

At what standings do they attack you? My Gallente standing is like -5.6 just from doing lvl 1,2 & 3 missions

Same as the security standings IIRC.

-5.0 = attacked in any high sec system by the popo of the factions you have bad standings with

Might have changed from what I remember but yeah

Sec status and Faction standing are different things, sec status below -2 gets you attacked by the faction police in 1.0 space, no matter what standing you have with the faction, while -5 faction standing gets you chased by faction police in any system the faction has sovereignty over, the difference being they're taking longer to spawn on grid with you the lower the sec level of the system is.

I tend to just outrun them. Fly something with a fast align time and keep warping to zero.

To my knowledge the navy and police are tankable and shootable. I have heard great tales of spider-tanked battleships killing the police in droves to take their tags and sell them. Pirate

Just in case anybody finds it useful, you can learn how to regain your low standing with an empire in order to safely traverse their systems here.

In a 1.0 system the faction police will do 1k dps and neut you dry. Even though they don't scram you for having low standing you will get stuffed if an outlaw end up on your grid as that spawn will scram you.

People used to do that with CONCORD, too. Alas, that's no longer possible.
