In order to operate these new drones, a new skill would be introduced: Salvage Drone Specialization

Skill Name: Salvage Drone Specialization
Cost: 10.000.000 ISK
Difficulty Multiplier: 5x
Description: Specialization in the operation of advanced Salvage drones. 3% increase in salvage chance per skill level to the drones requiring Salvage Drone Specialization
Prerequisites: Salvage Drone Operation V and what this Skill Prerequisites Skill tree has

The Skill Set to operate these Drones will be:
Salvage Drone Operation V
Salvaging IV
Drones IV
Salvage Drone Specialization I

I would also like to see T2 salvaging drones. Rather than type out a massive list of numbers, I would like to see them have "Salvage Drone Operation 5" as a prerequisite and have 20% better stats across the board than T1 salvage drones.

On a similar, but distinct topic... salvage drone AI needs improving. They currently salvage in the least efficient manner possible, with the maximum travel time between wrecks that can be imagined. For all I know this may be by design, but it's totally unnecessary if it is. It might just be that nobody thought of optimizing their behaviour for time efficiency. Maybe T2 salvage drones could have a distinct AI from their T1 counterparts?

Don't use them, but can't see why this would be a bad thing.

Make it idiot-proof and someone will make a better idiot.

Respect. Cool

Needed these the day T1's were introduced.

+1

Can't see any reason why T2 Salvage Drones couldn't be introduced (or why they haven't been already). Seems like low-hanging fruit for CCP to tackle in the next release.
