Well sure, camping the goon home system in a stealthbomber wouldn't keep me motivated either. As i mentioned, eve is a game for people who like to plan. My plans for the next three months:
- finish my personal 4 ship mining fleet, in case I ever need some secure income I can make while watching Breaking Bad on my second monitor. Admittedly, that one is mostly waiting for skilltraining to finish, still, the interesting part is to optimize the manual multiboxing of four accounts.
- either set up a second POS or a larger POS as soon as my next production alt is ready. The challenge is finding the perfect system to tie my POS into my other endeavours.
- scrounge up the ISK for my first freighter.
- somehow install jumpclones for both my exploration and my ratting alt in deep NPC nullsec and acquire the necessary ships in the respective region.
- do at least a few wormhole ratting daytrips
- get into faction warfare.
- and make enough ISK to pay for all the stupid mistakes I'm likely to make doing all the above.

are more than enough to keep me motivated and busy. If you limit yourself to sitting around and shouting "me want pvp now", then you've got no one but yourself to blame if you're bored.

maybe I'm just to good at trading, and do not find enough gameplay to trash my ships

Unfortunately I find myself unable to quite grasp what your superior intellect is trying to communicate with that jumble of words while it's busy simultaneously desecrating the mutilated body of the english language. In case anyone can translate, I'd be grateful.

And with that I'm out for the day, please try to have this disgracing parody of a discussion closed by tomorrow.

You should be, it has everything you think Eve should have, and that we think is utter bollocks.

I'll be blunt

  • Your ideas are shite.
  • Your ideas are gamebreaking.
  • You should find a game that caters to what you want.
  • You should stop trying to ruin a game that players have invested thousands of man hours, and thousands of *insert currency of choice* in.
  • Your ideas are shite.

Did I mention that your ideas are shite?

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

so you say, you are angry because I will get what I want without spending thousands of man hours, and without spending thousands of *insert currency of choice*?

is that your reasoning?

WoW offers what you want, everyone knows this as the info on that game isn't hard to come by. If you have no interest in that games mechanics why would you want them here in EVE?

If you can get what you want quickly using the current game mechanics then fair play to you, if however you're looking to get CCP to implement instant gratification mode then you won't get diddly.

I'm pissed off at seeing you post the same drivel repeatedly, all the while never considering that you may actually be wrong. Your ego rivals that of Simon Cowell.

What, exactly, is it that you want? You've been very unclear about this in your many, many bad posts.

EVE is a game about spaceships and there's an enormous amount of work to do on the in-space gameplay before players (or developers) are ready to sacrifice it for a totally new type of gameplay - CCP Rise

I think the real reason harry wants this arena thing where he does not actually loose his ships.

He just does not have the isk to support all these losses. Also Harry, that typhoon loss with the very very bad fit is very funny.

So he wants a place to pvp, loose... and then his ships is magically transported back to his hanger where he can continue again.

I want the game to become more complex because of the gameplay, you guys want the game to be a pain in the ass because of repetitive tasks

thats the main difference

complexity should be added to the game because of more options and contend, not in the way of making easy things difficult

yes i know, but some people try to holdup the process, they feel like they had to do this long repetitive tasks and thats why everybody else has to do it that way

nobody should listen to them, it would be like listening to people in work who do the same thing over and over again that takes hours, although somebody knew a faster way to get there

this game should be about enourmous spacefights, not about killing rats grinding and mining... no problem if the people want to do that, also fun for some time, but more spacefights need to happen and need to be accessible faster

that is what gamers want, they want tactical battles, and a lot of them... not spending 90% of the time to get a ship for that

Instant pvp at the push of a button does not contribute to a games complexity. It creates an environment highly susceptible to "fotm" setups. As soon as a superior tactic (or in EvE ship type + fitting) has been identified, everyone and their dog will run it, vastly decreasing the number of viable setups for a given metagame. In such a situation, success is less about playing the game and more adapting to the current metagame, see once again arena style pvp in WoW or SWTOR.

Currently this effect is dampened in EvE by things like cost and training time. When a 5% increase in efficiency comes at the price of grinding 20 additional hours for more bling or training three more months, people are willing to run with suboptimal-yet-competitive setups, resulting in a more varied meta environment.

Note that games with a rapidly adapting metagame frequently have to "swing the nerfbat" to cripple dominating setups, resulting in frequent and drastic designchanges that make EvE nerfes look tame in comparison (oh, so you lost one highslot? bohooo, my main nuke just got nerfed by 50%, my cc got added to diminishing returns and my 10 minute uber cooldown got removed completely). Of course, seeing how you supposedly haven't ever bothered with any other online game and fail to accept "ten other designstudios tryed and failed badly" as an argument, I'm afraid those words are once again wasted.

I think you can be quite sure that nobody at CCP is really listening to anything that happens on the forums... maybe aside from the F&I section... Seagull has her plan, and she will see it though.

The game is about big spacefights, you are just to stupid to get in on them.
