Actually you were next door in I30 most of the time because there were too many combat capable ships in VFK for you.

EVE is a game about spaceships and there's an enormous amount of work to do on the in-space gameplay before players (or developers) are ready to sacrifice it for a totally new type of gameplay - CCP Rise

I tried to make a event back in the days, it just feelt like a lot of work, I'm not here to work but to play a game

already spend way too much time with it anyway... the client has to take care of the arenas and the leagues

I don't fit them with warp core stabilizers and think that makes me immune to bubbles.

We have done a few CFC tournaments and EVE Radio do them all the time. Your laziness is no excuse to kill this game by turning it into yet another WoW clone.

How is this in line with your other statements that "there are leagues in RL, so why not in game"?

Leagues in RL are organized by people for people. The rules are written by people, and enforced by people.
If you want leagues in game, just do as in RL and start organizing.

Or maybe we shouldn't have leagues in RL until we get the support of mother nature! You know....invisible force fields around arenas, weapons that won't fire from the bleachers if aimed at tennis players, etc.
