On a scale of 1-10 how would you rate EVE compared to all current games on the market at this time. Explanations would be nice also.




I rate EVE 8/10

The new scanning system is nice and overall EVE is great. The reason im only giving it an 8 is becuase of the lack of Dust connection and WIS tease.

The amazing player conflict, prevalent multiplayer interaction, and emergent gameplay/objectives have completely ruined other MMOs for me. 0.5 point off for confused development and poor dev-community communication and connection. Those are improving, though.

Great gameplay, the last complex MMO left. 1 Point substracted from a perfect score for various UI atrocities.

Note next closest game would be about a 5/10

So much needs addressing but off to a good start

The research, industry and markets in EvE isn't matched by any other game.

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

1/10 for poor customer service. The Ms. Pac-Man game at the corner shop gives you a free game now and then if you knee the front of it hard enough; I expect this level of attentiveness in all of my electronic entertainment.

Eve is the worst game ever, except for all the others. (paraphrased from Winston Churchill I think it was?)

1/10 (other games fall under a negative in this regard).

I give Eve 10/10 by comparison.

My explanation is I haven't seen all current games on the market, but compared to the ones I have seen... well, I'm playing Eve.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

No other game is quite like it.

You can ruin days for people.

Or you can be a paragon.

Unlike other games, the consequence is more "real" either way.

Once you realize what a joke everything is, being the comedian is the only thing that makes sense.

This game has the best customer support, I say this after i played many other mmos.Most of the other game don't even have have 24/7 support service, take runescape for example, it takes something like weeks to 3months to get an email replyLol

From what I've seen eve was one of the first games to have developer blogs.Sure communication can improve but no one is perfect.Also I don't know other game that has CSM?

Good community.

Good gameplay (especially that you can actually loose stuff).

Devs occasionally listen to the community.

Complex game mechanics and game play.

Working professions.

Debugging update / patch problems is a bloody nuisance though.

Remove standings and insurance.

7/10 Good game all round, good enough to keep me from playing any other games right now.
The only thing keeping it from being 9/10 is the lack of Wis which I would love to see implemented, otherwise great game keep up the great work CCP.

4/10 EVE suffers from a lack of new content, instead the developers seem content to just keep reworking existing content, and the content that is available is very repetitive and becomes stale fairly quickly.

With that said I gave it four points because despite this the game somehow manages to remain highly addictive, which completely boggles my mind because all I'm doing are the same things over and over.

5/10 Still not gotten a swimsuit cover of Iceland devs of CCP. I mean come on already do it so much glory could be have.Mohawks and speedos=win.

underfunded to poor game management (check)

broken core game mechanics owing to being underfunded game (check)

high player turn over due to poor management of the carebear class of player (check)

Claim of most expansive space game ever when it is really just one solar system copy and pasted 1000x (check)

UI that seems it was crafted by a first semester programming student high on crack and a fist full of pills he wasn't quite sure what they were (check)

+15 for keeping this poorly managed business model floating for 10yrs and counting....truly moses would be envious, parting the Red Sea is rookie ****

Yawn,  I'm right as usual. The predictability kinda gets boring really.
