I just uninstalled (5th time in a week I think) and will not install again until the issue is resolved.
Accounts run out in December/January...bad thing that I paid for 6 months.
Thank You CCP.
no you can not have my stuff.

Greetings,

In a way i feel relief that my problem is spreading like a cancer without a cure, and the only method of resolving the issue is to dl the full client again. I have tried downloading the launcher( did not work ), used the repair tool, it says it finished and when i click on the close it produces an error( awaiting feedback from ccp staff regarding the log file submitted ) tried using the exe file from the bin folder, but that just stays on 6/7 and after hours of waiting nothing happends. CCP told me that odessey is having problems with some security software but that is a lie since i turn off kapersky software before i start any process. Honestly i feel sorry that we the paying customers are not treating with the respect we deserve. Hopefully 1 day we will have an answer, but ultimately we the users/ paying customers will be responsible for the problem, since the game is perfect.

I figured out a workaround. Some files get corrupted in eve, when you copy your game folder out they wont successfully copy over. Run the repair tool in the new directory and it should complete. Then you can copy everything back into your old eve folder and overwrite everything.

It takes a while, its total kludge, but it got me playing again after all this bad patch business.

Thank you for your answer but you see the problem in patching up the patched Patch?

I am a User and no computer technician. How in the world does CCP expect a larger player base (like in casual gamers) when the handling of the maintainance requires one to have hours of time "nerding" through/ inside three different folders (you want to keep your settings like bookmarkfolders, UI-settings, overview-settings even if you uninstall) to get the game running.
Additionally there is not a single word regarding that matter from CCP.
I work full time...come home and spend time with my family. If there is time I log in and harvest carbear tears or shoot stuff that even shoots back and log out again. I do not even have the time to "farm" ISK. I pay a lot of money per year for that "fun" as I maintain more than one account.
Why cant I get a propper support then?

That is not how you treat your stakeholders.

Tried your solution. Repair tool just hangs at step 1 downloading gigabytes of stuff like crazy.

indeed this may resolve some corruption of trying to run from bin folder exe but does not solve the patching exception issue.

The only answer is download another 5gb client again.

Which I have done for the 4th time last night .. now waiting downtime today to see if I have to reinstall a 5th time .. after which I can only expect to be flagged by my isp for excessive downloading and probably throttled to hell.

That would be because you are ranting. If you all make 15 million posts with a single error message in it, then jump over to GD to start complaining how they havent told you all they are fixing everythign yet, expect them to get locked.
I've not found a thread where you explain what steps you took to get to a broken state, and The majority of people are still able to log in, which leads me to believe that it's an issue related to a small subset of people, which is usually incredibly hard to work out, especially if you are not supplying all the information.
If your internet connection is slow or unstable, perhaps it's having issues while downloading. You can try downloading the offline installer:
http://community.eveonline.com/support/download/offline-installer/
rather than downloading it through the launcher, as single large files generally download better on unstable connections than lots of small files.

Also, when patching, are you closing the launcher? Sometimes it can look like it freezes, but it hasn't. Leave it patching as long as it takes. If it still looks frozen after a few hours, then you can consider closing it out.

There's also this post:
https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=238145&find=unread
Which involves NOT using the shortcut, but browsing into the EVE folder and running the eve.exe (as well as other things).
Also, exefile.exe bypasses the launcher, which may also work if eve.exe doesn't.

Other than that, you need to raise support tickets providing your log files from your client and exactly the steps you took to get to the broken stage. The more data CCP have the easier it will be for them to source your issue.

I did all that except for the ticket which I filed 10 minutes ago. My connection is a mobile internet (usb) with like 42 Mbit/sec so that should do. It has until now.

The fact that it's mobile means it will be comparatively unstable. Packet dropping is likely to be quite high. Have you used the offline installer or just the regular one?

I always used the regular one to patch the game until last week when problems started. Since then I have to download the offline installer to make the game work. I download the offline installer and the payloads, install the game and am able to play. As soon as the launcher gets the feed for a new patch it will stop the patch process and create a log file.
I will just install again and wait for the next patch to be able to send the error file.
That does not change the fact that I am a costumer and not a Beta tester.
Thx for your effort btw.

Of course you are.
But CCP can't be expected to keep a 100% problem free service. It sounds like up until now, you haven't even provided them logs of your error, or submitted a ticket. Without that, how are they supposed to help?
They provide the ability to raise a ticket so that your issues get placed into a queue and dealt with, or at the very least looked at, within agreed SLAs. Without posting a ticket, you may as well have just yelled "EVEs broke" out of your window.
I hope you get your issue sorted soon.

lol, rage is funny.
You didn't all post tickets, and like I said, the more data they have, the faster they work the issues out.
All sorted now though right?

Nothing is sorted. Still nothing working here. Loosing training time daily, can't pay corp offices, let alone manage my pos. Though that at least won't go offline for another 2 weeks.

Edit: And before you ask: Yes, I've sent a petition.
