micro jump drive

i got redirected to here by a GM
becouse i made an ingame ticket for this so i am posting it the same way .. directed at the game developers

i have an idea for a change to the micro jump drive ..
you should make it so that you can still use it when you are warp scrambled so that it brings some value to a fight ..

or make a tech 2 version that can jump when scrambled..


ppl can still counter that if they attack in a group or have a real fast ship (i can travel that 100km in 6 seconds)

just a suggestion .
but as the micro jump drive is now it is pretty useless

100 km in 6 seconds... 16,600 m/s Not many ships can achieve that... I call BS.

Its seems like you want to be untacklable.

It would be massively OP'd if it was as you want.


Imagine this:
* Get scrammed
* Align to where you want to warp
* MJD
* Scram breaks for a few seconds
* As you are already fully aligned when the Microjump happens, you insta-warp away


Seems like it would completely obsolete warp core stabs

MJDs are already very annoying if you fight a battleship 1v1 and don't have a scram.
It's pretty much impossible to kill such a ship if the owner knows what he is doing and MJD's in align direction.

MJD is not useless. It jsut can't beat scrams. If by chance I am out in an arty wolf op....you are getting away. Its point fit.


Nothing in eve is untackleable. Hictor with scripts can lock down even the big ships.

Also you may want to train up t2 drones to try and kill the scram tacklers better. That barge kill....... Not like it matter but t1 drones? You weren't even preppeed to fight off a lone frigate. Pop those t1's then pop you. Your new friends just sped up the process.

or even lowsec belt rats some of which scram ect. a Ret can hardly tank HS belt rats.

Anyway as everyone as mentioned a MJD is already very useful for escaping this would just make every BS un-tackable. Nothing could stop you, scram, web, long point, bubbles, you would be a god amongst men (well immortal pod people) .

Now just add that to the Marauder changes, screw bastion when you can just 100km tank every time your health gets low.

I'd rather have a TII MJD that increased the distance to 150-200km jump. Scramable still, but pushes you to the very edge of your range to make use of that distance tank. L4's 100km doesn't do much for you.

Either that, or a TII MJD that decreases the time it takes to activate from 6 seconds to 4 seconds.

What you want is a module without a counter. I'm sorry to say, for the utility of this module, that isn't going to happen :/

200 km jumps would be too far off and 4 sec spool time would be too fast.
MJDs are perfectly fine as they are. T2 could affect the cap they use or do something else.

TBH we don't need t2 MJDs like we don't need t2 xl asbs.

-1 from me because you have to be able to counter the MJB and scram is the counter. Yes I do USE a MJD and some woul dcall me carebear but if you weren't scram-able then you could MJD 100km and open up before your "attacker" has burnt to you...180secs later jump and engage...180secs later jump and engage...every one dies of wrecking boredom and goes home.

Marauders will bring a fun dynamic with the reducing in cool down time for MJD's though.

i have another idea: remove from mjd the ability to jump when warp disrupted.

there are times when only a 50k jump is warranted. like around plexes and whatnot getting to the next excell gate.
a script in these would rawk.

the t2 version could mean shorter spool time or something.

Combine these two: the T2-Version is scriptable (simillar to strip miners T2 can use the crystals...)

break the lock on of the scramming ship and then MJD.

actually it is over 17k .. but that is a frig with a 10mn microwarp and overload ..

and i am not saying it should be uncambleable all i am saying is .. it is a micro "jump" drive and you get scrambled with a "warp" scrambler

maybe a third kind of scrambler for jump drives or some script to adapt the normal scrambler to a jump scrambler but then you cannot warp scramble ...

so with 2 ppl you can still scramble him . or as most of you have 2 accounts

i am not asking ccp to make things invinsible .. becouse then i might run into that aswell :P
just would be fun if there where more things to counter each other .. as an attacker or as a defender

Maybe you should then leave suggesting something that would change pvp drastically to someone that pvps. And -1 for me as well on the OP but +1 on the scripts.
