Client Update and repair tool failure

So I started up the client started to patch and got an error at about 25% so I rebooted my pc and tried to repair and that also errored out here is the log

I'm getting similar kinds of issues here myself.

I left the launcher running and then started a client with the ol' "shortcut to the exe" approach which then advised on the new build. That ran the update but failed (as the launcher was still open) so I closed everything and reloaded the launcher. That got into a cycle of "Updating launcher" and then seemed to go ok on 2nd run, but the launcher then spat out this error for me as well every startup.

The think is, the client via the shortcut approach works fine, just the launcher is borked and even a repair (which said it was successful) hasn't fixed the launcher...

Pretty useless in here I see I guess I was hoping for some sort of official response......................

Anyhow I said screw it uninstalled and reinstalled

What I figured out that worked for me with a similar problem today.

Right now trying to copy files back from the working directory into the original one to see if i can get all of my settings back and a working client.
