I have checked but can't seem to find a defiant answer for this: I am using a buddy trial for 21 days. I Prefer using bought time cards for 30 or 60 days at a time. I know a starter pack will void the gift for my buddy, but would a 30 Days of Game Time with Exclusive Ship: EVE Online through game connect also cancel the buddy gift?

I know the Using plex or buying a prepaid game card will convert my account from trial to full and my buddy gets his gift. But nothing I have found so far shows if buying a 30/60 days of game time that comes with a ship will void the buddy gift.

Thanks.

You can find all the information you need about eligible payment methods to upgrade your Buddy trial account in the terms and conditions of the Buddy Program available from your Account Management page Smile

* To be eligible for rewards, the new Buddy account needs to be activated and the subscription fee paid by using Credit/Debit cards, PayPal, WebMoney Transfer, paysafecard, ETC, PLEX, Nexon, Ukash, iDeal, Yandex, Amazon Game Connect and any additional payment methods accepted by CCP from time to time.

It sounds like you are wanting to use an ETC to directly apply game time to the account, which is an eligible payment method.

If you are intended to exchange the ETC for PLEX and use that to upgrade your account this would restrict the choice of rewards for the inviting account:

* CCP reserves the right to restrict eligibility for some rewards according to certain criteria, including but not limited to minimum account age or minimum client log-in time of the inviter. In addition, CCP reserves the right not to reward you with PLEX (such as when a new Buddy account is upgraded using PLEX).

Hope this helps!

Going by what I got from the my support ticket, If you use any mode of pay or time card that also includes a gift or extra for you, it will void your buddy from getting a gift.

Though they say you can use Amazon Game Connect, the 30/60 day time bought also includes a ship, They call it a Cd-Key which is the same as the starter pack. Thus it would void the buddy gift from the buddy trial.

Since Amazon only sells the 30/60 Days of Game Time with Exclusive Ship, that is not available to upgrade from Buddy trial to full account. I had even sent a screen cap of the Amazon page to them to verify.

This is what I have compiled from what the support tickets messages and the post from Dev on this thread. Though they do not say directly that. They refer to the rules but the rules do not specify the situation and that is why I was asking.

The part of the Rules:

To be eligible for rewards, the new Buddy account needs to be activated and the subscription fee paid by using Credit/Debit cards, PayPal, WebMoney Transfer, paysafecard, ETC, PLEX, Nexon, Ukash, iDeal, Yandex, Amazon Game Connect and any additional payment methods accepted by CCP from time to time.

To be eligible for the rewards, the Buddy account subscription fee may not be paid using any of the following methods: Direct Debit or CD Keys, including CD Keys purchased or received from non-CCP sources and online stores such as, but not limited to: Amazon starter pack, Steam Store, Direct2Drive, Gamers Gate, Impulse Driven.

I'm not sure where the Dev got the idea about me converting the ETC *EVE Time Code* to plex, Maybe they didn't know what Amazon was selling. I have tried checking about prepaid cards at Gamestop, the only other place in town to buy them, but one didn't carry them and the other sells out to one guy every month when the get them.
