at the moment I see no use for a rorqual I would like to see them HS as no one would take a rorqual to provide mining support ccp if you see this post capital industrial ships could probably be made to use in high sec I want a rorqual to have a use other than siting in a pos

It does have a use other than sitting in a pos. In fact it has several other uses.

You should try harder.

Rorquals in hi-sec would only waste away what little mining is left in hi-sec.

True... if anything, make the Orca more versitile/usable, then we don't need a this "factory" in high-sec.

Can we please leave a few things to strive for, that exist outside of highsec, for mining? I don't want to sound mean or anything, but at times, the dedicated highsec mining crew seems to have this "Right now gimme!" entitlement issue.

Leave the Rorq in null where it belongs. It's the industrial equivalent of a supercarrier.

That is, unless you want to let us bring other supers into high. Avatar highsec DD ganksquad is a go......

Yeah like the null sec crowd don't have the same but more extreme form of entitlement, despite making up only 25% of the subscriptions.

Rorquals and Orcas need to be moved out of Pos shields and stay on grid to give boosts.
That is the only fair thing to do.
CCP needs to level the field again!

True, aside from the fact that we pesky "high-sec miners" (and most other aspects of industry, for that matter) got the short end of the stick for years, despite all the complains... because we got some attention the last couple of months, doesn't mean everything is fine now.

We still don't have enough versatility and ships to cover all aspects of the industrial way of play...

Still, the Rorqual is fine right now, we just need more options coverall.

How so? When it comes to the industrial arena, I've seen plenty of nullsec complaints, but they're backed by hard numbers.

Dedicated highsec miners have been given a ton of concessions in the past few updates. Some warranted, some not, IMHO.

For a group that really doesn't contribute to the overall EVE experience, there seems to be a ton of complaints from that department.

(Yes, I know, minerals make my ship. Those minerals can be acquired from elsewhere. Watch how fast gun mining comes back, if a mineral crash messes too much with PVP.)

See? And that's one of the things... no, the most important thing... that never has been addressed by CCP at all.

So to have it go in to hisec, what are you going to give up.. perfect refine in almost every station? jump drive? compression? oh wait, then its just an orca with a cool animation and a ship bay that only accepts mining and industrial ships lol.

Ohh c'mon, you were around for drone poop. We didn't even need miners back then, you could just reprocess alloys for anything needed.

Honestly, what do highsec miners want? It's brutal, but highsec mining is the absolute lowest of the low resource gathering. It's the equivalent of running around the newbie zones of other MMOGs, harvesting low-level mats for crafting. It will always be a bad way to make in-game currency, unless done en-masse with multiple accounts. Hell, even the in-game flavor text makes jokes about how you can get rich on an ore, if you mine it 24/7 and live to extremely old age.

I am not a miner but have been in the past when I first started playing EVE Online nearly a year ago now and it was FUN for the first couple of months. I was making millions and covered my account subscription.
1. You should not, in such a harsh and inconsiderate way, disregard a section of a SANDBOX game.
2. You have a bad case of null sec warrioritis.
3. Yes there are other ways of doing it, however there are people willing and wanting to do it the way it is now.. It is a profession in eve. (No matter how many accounts you use.)

Now back to the OPs point of making the Rorq a High-Sec boat, why are you asking for that to happen?
- Some people and yes many people use them to great success in null sec and the mechanic for them at the moment is fine. The in POS shields is a bit iffy but then you have to understand that there has to be some sort of protection for just some harmless little mining booster. ;) haha

All in all... Just lose the 'null sec is everything' attitude. However for the Rorq, you will want that sort of space to really use it to its most effect. Giving it High-Sec abilities will just create problems.
