Why is it asking me to destroy implants?

Sometimes when I try to use a jump clone I am asked to destroy my implants. Why is this?
I have 3 clones, including the one I'm using. I can jump to one without destroying my implants, but not the other. Both are in stations.

You have three types of clone

your active clone
your medical clone
and your jump clones

you may not have two jump clones at the same station

if you attempt to jump out of your active clone when there is a jump clone in the same station (unless you are jumping to the clone in the same station), one clone must be destroyed with its implants

You can only use a jumpclone so many times beford its destroyed.

It will tell me I must destroy the implants on my current clone in order to jump. Then I will try it at another time and I will be just fine. I think something else is going on here.

i imagine the other times you're trying to jump from a different station or the clone you're jumping to is at a different station

Just to make sure this is clear:

You cannot jump to a clone in the same station as you are in, without consequences.

The Op might be trying to Jump Clone from a station he already has a Jump Clone at.

You can only have 1 Jump Clone per station. Unless you are trying to swap with the one in the station you are in, you need to find a new station.

The clone I was trying to jump to was in another station. I had 2 clones, including the one I was using, in the station I was currently in. I was able to jump to the clone that was in my current station but I was not able to jump to the one in another station.

Because the jump clone mechanics are needlessly picky and restrictive.

Every time you post a WiS thread, Hilmar strangles a kitten.

Are you trolling then?

What don't you understand? The station only has room for one jump clone. If you try to leave two clones in a station, one will be destroyed (the one you are currently in will be kept).

When you jump to a clone in Station B, your current body becomes a Jump Clone in Station A.

Each station can only hold 1 Jump Clone, so if Station A already has one, then you must sacrifice it for your current clone, with implants lost.

You can switch between the two clones in Station A, as you'll still only have 1 Jump Clone in the station. If you want to jump to Station B while not losing the clone in Station A, you'll need to find a third station to dock at and switch from.

Edit 2: Wow, I fail. Ignore the double-post below; I've asked an ISD to nuke it.

Ah, my mistake. Did not know each station was only capable of holding one clone. That is rather unimpressive considering something like Jita has room for it's billions of items and millions of ships but not my 2 little pods.

Right, don't you know that civilizations in eve are so advanced that they have faster than light travel, the ability to move a ship between star systems and communicate between multiple points in the new Eden cluster simultaneously instantaneously in real time but incapable of transfering a consciousness between 2 cloned bodies with implants in the same station.

No, they're perfectly capable of doing so.

it was like that, maybe you are getting an artifact from before they changed it?

Confirming that it is okay to jump to a clone in the same station:
