This is a regular occurrence in my house come the winter.

Dumbing down of Eve Online will result in it's destruction...

1) this thread is destined for "Features and Ideas" section;

2) zero hope for CCP to implement anything interesting in next couple years while almost everything you are asking for will be in Star Citizen. In fact multi-pilot ships are already there (sitting in hangar atm, but nonetheless) and it seems pilot and passangers will be able to kill each other and/or dump into open space;

3) it seems SC devs grab ideas directly from EVE's "Features and Ideas" forums. Well, at least someone will make a profit from our forum activity if CCP don't want to...

That's more idealistic than realistic. Limitations produce progress as long as progress can be achieved, but sometimes the cube just won't go through that circular hole no matter what.

Also, if I wanted to play STO, I'd be playing STO. I can admit, though, I would love to know what the insides of these ships look like. I've been thinking for a while of drawing what I imagine the command decks of a few of these ships might look like from the inside.

read your lore if you're going to make silly claims like this

all ships have a capsuleer and a full complement of mortal crew

you just cant hear them scream from the vacuum of space

the rest...yes it seems all nice and dandy, doesn't mean i would want this implemented over say new POS systems, more ships, other usefull stuff

the enjoyment per dev hour on this kind of thing is enormously ineffcient vs other things that can be done

Barring a couple of frigate classes that can be handled solo by a capsuleer if needed, this is correct. Smile

Combine that with the ability to change ships and put the empty one on auto pilot/anchor it securely and I'm on board... literally. Blink

Why would you want to log in to stare at stargate after stargate, warp tunnel after warp tunnel when you could jump around in fleets within 1 carrier. We do it because we have to :)

Wouldn't you also love to hear the tears fall after entering warp and telling all your passengers your a awoxer and warping into a bubbled camp knowing they cant eject mid warp :)

I do admire your creativity and affinity for generating "content" however ... and I mean this in the best possible way :D ... you're a space-nut! Pirate

Ive always wondered why any baseliner would get on a capsuleer ship, especially after they hear "Lets go out for some PVP fun".

That would be quite amusing.

Instead of podding poor guy just put his pod in cargo and fly away.
If you jettison him he can warp away if you don't point and catch him again :)

CONCORD would stop ships with captured pods inside, extract them and shoot kidnapper except of cases where victim was WT or enemy FW pilot.

He could always have a possibility of SD but maybe kidnapper could also have means to disable SD for some time or make countdown longer via some mod or skill or - forgive me for saying that - minigame?

I'm sure it would be abusable as hell but think about all those tears send from captivity via letters in a bottle :)

Well I never thought of this option but its got merits. If you have kill rights of a target (or WT/FT) have a special tractorbeam/warpscram that can tractor pods into its cargo.

I think of EVE as my second life.. some of you call me a Space Nut and I accept that. (SOA Fan). I just feel a little limited with the possibilities of EVE as we get so caught up on some of the finer things. Yes I know we are missing some great and needed functionality (POS's, More ships, the list goes on) but its also time to take to the drawing board for wants coming in the next decade of EVE.

Yes, your completely right, even though ideas like have been brought up years ago, (god knows i have been), if EVE doesn't, other games will, and CCP will lose subscribers. I know ill be playing SC when it comes out to help fulfill my scifi needs.

There is an EvE Chronicle that explains that. Basically a few ISK is like a lifetime of high wages for them in their planetary currency and EVE is harsh and full of poor people.

For pennies to you on the hull price they are basically Kamikaze pilots guaranteeing a wealthy future of planetary opulence for their family.
