If ship is damged, make it feel damaged

Your half way through structure, but you survive, yet the ship flies as if new,Roll

agility/speed should be decreased, 50% decrease in falloff, target range, drone range etc, the flames coming off the ship do help with the immersion, lets get realistic CCP

So what you're saying is, once you get to structure... you're guaranteed to lose the ship.

No I didnt say that. Once you get in structure, past 50% or something, you actually FEEL the damage.

if you want to make it realistic, you should include product recalls because of stuck gas pedals too.

While were at it can we make tiny rounds bounce off thick armor, medium rounds dent it and big rounds penetrate right through size relative ofc. Also if one side of the ship is damaged and they orbit to the other side and shoot that damage shouldn't carry over.

Oh and for Shields can I have that thing that Starbase's have that makes it invincible for a while. That would really get me out of some jams.

Might as well add the same type of warhead that Bombers have to like all missiles. Or just stick bomb launchers everywhere.

Also there is this bug where my big turret turns slower then the tiny ones and it is a problem, I mean maybe they can add like a hundred tiny ones to my big ship or something but you would think the big ones would just carry an up sized turret ring modeled on the small one that works so well. No atmosphere resistance and all.

I would also like to equip my ship with this plastic telescope I bought from Walmart so I can lock things past 250 kilometers. While we're on locking, is there anyway to put that super computer the Merlin uses for locking things in my Rokh because all my Rokh has for locking is a Commodor64 and I want to use that to play Galaga.

Oh and finally can I just make the ship out of that 1600mm plate stuff because that takes like 25m3 of cargo room and coats an Abbadon so I figure a Rifter made out of blocks of that could tank the sun... Well tank a lot of Dmg, all ships can tank the sun for some reason. No wonder EVE is so cold. =(

Yeah we pretty much PI'd the **** out of those. The environmentalists said it was wrong to extract and sell the entire inside of a planet leaving only a thin crust but they're just alarmist. If you don't jump up and down things are fine.

So instead of a fight "who blows the other guy up first" it's a "who gets the other guy into structure first". Bad.

BUT:

CCP should totally do texture shenanigans and particle effect stuff (Toggleable, clientside of course) when your ship is damaged (armor damage - changes in the normal map, deformation, holes, charred spots. For hull damage some clever trickery like they showed at Fanfest 2011, missing chunks of structure). Would certainly add to the awesomeness of spaceships.

Sod realism, embrace the rule of cool. We're already flying spaceships that hurl rounds the size of a buick at other spaceships that **** plasma in return. Besides, if there's anything better than seeing your own ship lacking bits and pieces it's looking at the enemy and laughing at the fact you just shot his top wingy bit off.

Voiding insurance policies also for overheating modules and causing undue normal wear and tear to the ship also.

First: Belongs in the Feature Ideas forum.

Second: In theory, that sounds nice, but it would only mean that a battle is actually over as soon as you reach 50% structure... you can't get away cause you will not be able to align in time, you can no longer circle effectively... in short: your are dead in the water.

Besides: If you add that level of realism, then you have to go all the way: Include module degrading over time, crew management,... the whole shebang.

For once I'm actually somewhat agreeing with this whether he's trying to troll or not it'd make things interesting. Granted I wouldn't go so far as it being after 50% or whatever and I'd make it more random than that. However the game is already coded and been going for 10 yrs like this so this change would never work with how things are now. Also as you can see the vets and noobs that follow are already ripping it apart.. Lol
