Hi! I know this issue has been raised multiple times but I still couldn't find an ultimate solution to it.

So, I have Eve installed on two separate PCs - one with Win XP SP3, another one with Win 7 Home Basic. Every single patch I download (there have been 5 or 6 since I started playing), the Eve launcher can't handle it and returns an error on both PCs. I can only patch the game with the repair tool, which usually takes much longer than simply downloading and installing the patch. There hasn't been a single patch which hasn't caused this error on any of the two devices.

So, what on earth causes it and how can it be ultimately solved?
