Q: Ancillary shield boosters

I'm slowly outgrowing this forum, but still here's an easy question:

I can fit 7 x cap booster 50's in a small ancillary shield booster, or 3 x cap booster 100's.

Do I rep the same amount of HP with 50's as with 100's?
Is it only the cap amount I gain that is different?

Ancillary Shield Boosters replenish the same amount of shields regardless of the size cap charge that is expended. Always use the smallest possible charges so you can fit more in the booster, this will mean you can run it for much longer without having to suffer through its 60 second reload cycle.

Should we consider that, when we have the choice, there is never any reason to load bigger charge ?

seems to be so ..

which strikes me as a strange design choice by CCP

logic says recharge amount and/or duration should be tied to charge size
then there would be a reason to use larger charges

With cap boosters there is almost no reason to use smaller charger, so I think CCP were trying to bring some of the unused charges into relevance.

The /one/ reason to use the larger size:

If you have a regular cap booster which uses them, and have run out of the smaller ones.

Woo! CSM XI!
