Nope.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

That is the correct short answer - a even better answer is CCP will not think about changing your name unless it is offensive or has other similar issues. Have tried and failed

I am aware of my own ignorance and have checked my emotional quotient - thanks for asking

It's a much-requested feature, but it is not possible. I doubt it will ever be possible as there are too many ways for it to be exploited.

If your character is new and you have a typo, submit a petition and I think a GM might be able to change your name. But I've only ever seen that possible for brand new characters, and there is no guarantee they'll do it.

No.

The reason for this - at least from my point of view - is 1) you were too lazy to make it yourself (I don't care about people using the Bazaar, i'm thinking about this through CCPs eyes) so you should be stuck with the name, and 2) changing the name would make it harder for corps who do background checks on the name of the character you bought. Which is why i probably wont ever use the Bazaar myself. I enjoy making my own ****** reputation instead of having to be shouldered with someone elses.

Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool, or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant: "If I live, I will kill you. If I die, you are forgiven." Such is the Rule of Honor.

And then your name will be "*Insert race here* Citizen 29385475749"

No.

So it's wise to research a character's earlier actions and reputation before buying a second hand one.

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

While it would be nice to do that for people acquiring characters from the bazaar, every corp thief and scammer and their brother will abuse this.

It's one of those "you can't do this because people suck" sort of topics.

name changes should be allowed, they can just add it on the corp history. which btw, should be called "history" only, and list more information, such as active wars on corp drop, name changes, changes on owners. (account transfers) etc.

currently if you buy a shady character the only way to "prove" the character changed hands is to link to the bazaar post... which can easily be forged. CCP doesn't follow up to verify if the transactions are actually finished, unless one of the parts makes a complaint about it.

You didn't find anything offensive about your name? You have hundreds of languages to work with!
