Scanning red dots

All scanning hits look the same on the initial pass, but the overlay shows probes and ships so it sees the difference. Why dumb down all hits to a red dot but go ahead and tell me that it sees a difference? I can only assume this is to slow me down when identifying clusters of droids as this is exactly what its doing by showing me all hits as the same.

Because they want to slow us down whilst we scan down our clusters of droids.
