This would allow you to immediately see if you have the highest buy or lowest sell order when you look at the market prices. Currently, you have to either remember what price you listed at, or go back into your orders page and check there, which is a major pain in the ass... This slight change would make "playing the market" much less painful. In addition, it would be nice to be able to right click your order in the market list -> modify order, without have to go back into your orders page and find it there.

How is a pain in the ass?

1.) Click "My Orders" in Market window
2.) Note price
3.) Go back to item (should have everything you have on market in Quickbar anyway)
4.) Note where your order stands (or rather, what the lowest sell order/ highest buy order is at)
5.) Go back to My Orders
6.) Modify Price

It's really not that complex, at all. Now, if you had to open your wallet every time you need to check orders, you might have something, but it's all in the same window.

+1,

adding a unique highlight colour to show it's your order in a list seems a sensible addition to me.

The only complication might be knowing when one of your own buy orders is in range. But I'm struggling to find any reasonable scenario why that should conflict with just "trucking" your own gear/goods around, which I think you would need to do anyhow. Unless there some strange technique of setting up remote shopping lists and checking them through buy orders than simply making a list I'm not aware of?

So instead of doing all of these steps, noting prices and switching back and forth between tabs - wouldn't it be nice to just click on the item in the quickbar, and immediately see that you are the highest buy/lowest sell? And if you need to modify the order you can just right click and modify, boom - done. Going through the above 6 steps might not be a pain in the ass to you, but remember that serious traders can often have several hundred open orders which can take hours update.
