Will 1.1 be out before 3rd? I'd like to prepare my app for the changes.

New version is out.

https://www.fuzzwork.co.uk/dump/mysql56-odyssey-1.1-91288.tar.bz2
https://www.fuzzwork.co.uk/dump/odyssey-1.1-91288/odyssey11.sqlite.bz2

https://www.fuzzwork.co.uk/dump/odyssey-1.1-91288/postgres-odyssey-1.1-91288.sql.bz2

This is converted using a new method, so there /may/ be issues with it. The row count matches what's in the MS SQL version, and when I retrieved the values using a utf8 capable client, I saw them.

Thanks for the postgres output!

One thing, I need to surround the table name with quotes:
select * from "mapRegions";

Seems the data file has quotes around all the table names, but that's easy for me to fix.

It's a side effect of the migration method I'm using. It preserves the case of the names, so to access them, you have to match the case. which means quotes.

I'm considering a case sensitive and a lowercased version. Though lowercasing everythign has a few issues of its own.

Yeah, I just finished earlier converting the data file to no longer have the quotes, and noticed as you say that it puts everything lower case. I still prefer it without quotation marks though. Another issue is that xmin and xmax are system names, so I had to rename those columns :(

What are the issues with lowercasing?

Mostly the xmax and xmin. Smile Along with a side order of 'I'm lazy and already wrote everything to use the case sensitive names' Blink

Even though the quotations are annoying, it *might* be best that you leave them in, just so that as much information as possible is preserved, and people can make their own choice to change it.

I'll be using without quotations, just lower case, because I'm working on a new project and don't want to have to type in quotations. Was very glad to find your postgres version :)
