i have this same bug, if you double click on the fake red signal it will zoom in on the real signal.

Not exactly sure what problem you're talking about ... you do know it changed this patch right? If probes don't hit a sig, the big ball remains. If probes hit the sig, you get the dots, which remain.

Basicly this. Read the patch notes, it helps with questions like this.

That's ccp making scanning even easier to use for the noobies

I am waiting for automated scanning ... it is the next logical step ....

This honestly would not surprise me. I'm glad i can still have safe spots in low sec so i can scan people down with d-scan. Eventually, i have a fealing they will auto scan me down.

I'm having a seemingly related issue. I'll scan a system, get several results, and start pinpointing (mostly data and relics). In several hours I was able to pinpoint 2 data sites and both of those disappeared from the system after I'd gotten them to 100%. Pinpointing again and zooming out - leaving the system and coming back again - nothing made them reappear. In fact the only sites that would remain after being scanned to 100% were combat sites and wormholes...

Are you sure you didn't exclude them from appearing? Or someone else just finish them.

Not entirely on-topic, but since we're discussing hard-to-describe scanning quirks -

Is it still doing that wacky deviation wrap-around thing? I'm not sure how to describe it other than the arrow ending up a lot farther from the real sig than it should, but I strongly suspect it's a result of someone adding the random deviation then taking a mod so it doesn't wind up off the edge of the scan sphere, causing it to wind up on the opposite end.

Is he not trying to say that the red circle is within the probes range, yet it's saying there's no scan results, and the probe window is saying 0% on everything, except one wormhole, which would be a green arrow, not a red circle?

This new persistent results feature is often counter-intuitive. The green 100% scanned WH MQF is not what he is scanning down in the screenshot.

Yes, the red circle is within the probe range. The SIGNATURE, however, is not within range of any of his probes. So the scan shows no results and a 0% strength Wormhole for the JQF signature he is working on. But the red dot from the previous scan remains. This is a result of high deviation on the previous scan cycle and dropping the probes too tight too soon.

When this happens, you need to back the probes up a size and rescan to pick up the sig again. Just like before the patch, when you did this and lost the signature. Except now your brain is going "but the dot says it's right here! How can there be no result!"

Apparently not.

He's killed 7 in Deklein in past week or so.

Keep up the good work Harry.

Yeah I've made sure that they aren't excluded and there's nobody else around.
