Deep/Directional Scanner

Any chance of giving the option to switch the Directional Scanner between KM and AU? I see a hell of a lot of pilots around with the KM/AU conversion table in their BIOs, and I personally just tend to use it maxxed out.

Either an outright change to AU (which actually makes a hell of a lot more sense for a space-based instrument) or the ability to toggle would - hopefully - be very well received.

Feedback would be appreciated. What do you guys prefer? AU or KM?

Or have two number boxes, one KM and the other AU, and if you fill one the other auto-updates, and then there is a single search button next to them. idk, whatever would be quickest and easiest to use. but i concur with the general sentiment. i'm already very good with d-scan and now can ballpark the conversions pretty fast, but tbh i shouldn't have had to learn that and i feel pity for all those noobs who still have to :( skill in eve shouldn't reside in places like this.

Really little change, no downside, no practical reason for having KM in the first place.

Don't probes already use AU?

+1 for radial buttons (that converts the current number that's in there between the two, just like windows calculator does with binary and hex)

Gotta have the toggle, while AU's would be useful I'm not willing to give up KM functionality for it.

What if you had to choose between range or angle? something like:

360º =7 AU max
180º=14AU max
...
5º=250AU

It would make game more fun.

Not a big fan of that idea, as I feel the angle slider is already too cumbersome.

The easiest, lightest solution would be: where it says "km", make that a button. No other change required. Clicking it toggles between km and AU. Tiny edit, issue solved.

Small addition to this idea: when the user presses SCAN or the Enter key, holding Shift treats the input as AU, holding Ctrl treats it as KM. The toggle button updates accordingly. Saves even needing to find the mouse to click that button.

+1.

I'd also add a slider in order to be able to adjust it without typing anything. Some presets would be nice, like for the direction.
