Explain to me why I'm inviting a ban when I tell someone mid-battle that they're fat enough to anchor a POS around?

What happened to those halcyon days where, between goatse spam, fofo's, and z0r chains, I could tell someone that their ass is so wide it's showing up on my overview as a celestial?

I doubt you could convince me otherwise, and I'm certain that smack talk should not only be allowed, but encouraged.

If your skin is too thin for a bit of a thrashing you're basically saying you're too weak for pvp and maybe you need to go back to hi-sec where your fat butt can disappear inside a L4.

Thoughts?

This is something that has bothered me for a long time. This is a game about warfare, deception, betrayal, guile, competition, ect. - if you can't take some adult words, then this isn't the game for you. I've always thought it hard for CCP to justify smacktalk and offensive language bans when they have a highly plublicized video of their employees singing 'HTFU.' People should do just that; bear the smack or use the chat block feature.

My thought is, why do you even have to smacktalk the other pilot to begin with...

Smack talkers skin is so weak without thrashing others in the need to constantly pump themselves up they'll...

Well it's not something that comes up when you're mining veldspar in your leviathan or whatever but when you're chilling at 10% tidi and your guns won't cycle for approximately one eternity, it's time to remind the enemy that they're trash and that my enemy doesn't need to go to the bathroom, that's just a super exiting build on their CSAA.

It's very important psychological warfare.

Because you are violating the Rules of Conduct in regards to chat channels. While the rules were not well enforced in the past, it sems they are being enforced now. Don't like it? Tough. You signed the EULA to play the game and abide by the rules CCP sets forth.

Nobody asked for a legalistic "it's wrong because it's not allowed" trash answer. This isn't a bible study, it's eve online, and trash talk is just as important in Spaceship War as is real life propaganda to real world war efforts. Please offer a deeper response.

Im tired of using word like bimp, bimping, and god dang bimp. I need tech II words for my bimpmobile. These tired usage of symbols and punctuation has got to go.

Honestly, how can I make a point when my vocab is limited to !@#$%^&*. CCP, what gives?

Isn't you popping their "stuff" proof that they're trash though? And the bathroom reference I don't really get - they don't need to go to the bathroom because they just completed the build as it was exiting? In which case they are not trash - but you are for not popping the CSAA in time?

Random thoughts here.

I don't need a deeper response. What I posted is correct. People have gotten smart and now will log a petition if they see someone posting filth in local. Get better with your smacktalk and learn how to do it within the rule guidelines.

The formal answer is: Because by accepting the EULA you also conformed to follow the rules.
In this case, Chat Channels: Rules of conduct #3:

Personal attacks are prohibited.
Commonly known as "flaming," personal attacks are statements which are designed to personally berate or insult another. Text of this nature is not beneficial to the community spirit and will not be tolerated. Corporation, faction members and other players are cautioned to avoid allowing an "in character" dispute become an "out of character" personal attack. The game is designed for role playing and/or portraying a role and it is sometimes easy for tempers to flare when the lines between the virtual world and the real world are crossed. Keep in game disputes out of these channels, please.

The common sense answer is: Because you don't have to be rude or use swearwords in game to, for example, make it absolutely clear that you find their in game actions despicable and/or their in game appearance gruesome. And of course as a consequence, do their corp/aliance/fleetmembers a favour by reducing them to the stardust they were born from.

So my advice is, don't break the rules set by CCP .
