I can get up to 24.9% on a signature, then move the probes a tiny amount and completely loose the signal. I've tried to scan down 5 sites in the last hour all with the same result.

Am I missing something here? Is there a limit on the amount of sites a player can do in a day?

currently using an Imicus, with sisters probe launcher and sisters probes, astrometrics at lvl 4

any help appreciated.

cheers

no there isent, the problem can be that it's just out of the scan range, try using a diffrent assembly of the probes, i like to go with Dual middle and fan around, it's a good one but a bit fiddely to get started with, (this was before the simplification of the scanning) now days i just use the preset Close up scanning, also you can try a bit of diffrent places around the sig, it dosent stay put so never shrink 2 sizes of the scan at once go step for step.

tl;dr: Filters. Remove them.

Filters only work once sites are identified (which happens at 25%). Prior to that, all sites will display because the type isn't known. However, when you have filters on and the site is of a type you have filtered out and you cross the 25% threshold, the site disappears -- filters are now applying. There is literally no way to know if your filter did this, the site despawned, or by some trick of deviation you lost the thing.

So just get rid of them. Filter manually.

Do you have a filter set ?

For example, if you have a filter for Gas sites, the identification threshold being of 25%. if none of the sites in the system you're scanning are Gas site, all the signature will disapear from your results.

As above. It's those pesky filters!

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there.
