Because I did not create it. CCP did.

Artists say that a picture was created by Photoshop, giving credit to the tool maker, and only claim copyright. Animation makers do the same when they say it was created by RenderMan. And so on.

I already told you that you can believe it to be all yours. How many times more do you need to read it?! You should really think why you are so obsessed with wanting to own the creation process at this point. Maybe you are not very creative at all and need to believe that you have created at least a little bit in your life and to have a feeling of accomplishment. It happens all the time.

So, you are, in no uncertain terms, saying that you believe CCP created Burn Jita and Hulkageddon simply because they own the servers the events were hosted on and the in game assets they affected.

You also seem to be saying that the Mona Lisa was created by Mario Brushmaker (or the brushes, he, or rather, according to you, his tools, created, it's not super clear), rather than Leonardo da Vinci.

For that matter, why does the agency for creation stop with CCP? Why not the people who created the development software CCP used to create the game? Why not all the way back to Charles Babbage?

Wacky stuff there.

Make a simple test. Do it without CCP. See if you can still create it. Can you?

I can't build a table without a saw. Does that mean the saw creates the table?

Da Vinci couldn't create the Mona Lisa without Mario Brushmaker's brushes. Why does the Wiki page say that the painting was created by Da Vinci rather than Mario Brushmaker (or his brushes)?

No, you only did not create a table. Try building a table without a saw. Improvise. You might actually realize that you are giving up too fast and therefore need a feeling of accomplishment. Try harder.

Da Vinci could have created those brushes himself or possibly used his fingers and still have created those paintings.

Gimme a call when you claw a spruce down and then break it down into lumber with your bare hands.

You seem saying that tools, not people are responsible for creating things. Tools, which are inanimate objects, seem to be, in your worldview (as expressed in this thread) responsible for creating what we generally call "all human endeavor."

Are inanimate objects also responsible for other things we used to call "human behaviors"? Which is responsible for my eating a pancake in the morning, the pancake or the fork?

No. I am saying you want to believe that you have created it yourself and further do you need me to confirm it for you. And you do so badly.

The stone mason's noob says he created the statue. The master says it was always there inside the stone, he only freed it. You are like the noob. You cannot do a single thing without others and yet do you want to be the sole creator of everything.

That exactly illustrates the point you're arguing against.

No. If you had followed the thread the you knew that most players do not know what happens in between client and server. You may think you created a spaceship, but it is more like it has always been there and only was not visible to you. You created nothing. It is just like somebody said all 0s and 1s. I did not mean to describe it this primitive, but it is just as true.

This means noone creates, ever... it's all freed. While that could be an interesting discussion, it's kinda silly to sneak into philosophy mode and go all Yoda in C&P

No. The stone mason's noob simply thinks in terms of moulding clay, where one creates a statue through moulding it by hand. Hammer and chisel are only being used to destroy. Of course the customers of a mason like to think of it as creations, too. They, too, do not know the processes involved. The noob just does not know what he is doing while he can be good at it at the same time.

I don't want anything. I'm just exploring your fascinating worldview that assigns agency to anything other than humans.

Is there anything that people do do?

And again, get back to me when you've taken down and processed that spruce with your bare hands.

But noo padawan, the apprentice does not mould the clay, he allows the form to be ... the form guides his movement. It's sad so few understand this. Roll

If you get beaten or hit with a clay statue then you may say that its form guides your movement.

+1

Podding has always been there, CCP just freed it so that it occurs in high sec...

This has also turned into the most ridiculous "Wise Man Say.." thread I've ever seen.

I did read it. I would have recommend you to read it all over again, had you not shown that you'd go as far as denying your own statements for arguing' sake. It's such a blatantly pointless effort I'll let you keep on since it seems to really satisfy you. There'd be so much to quote it'd break the forum anyway.

Except it's not, what you appear to have said is that it's CCP's fault that podding happens in high sec, CCP created the vessels and the mechanics around it, it's up to you, me or average joe to pull the virtual trigger.

Or are you not saying that CCP is directly responsible for podding in high sec..?
