raven mission fitting need advice

hey all I am looking to have a raven fitted for missions lvl4 and higher i have hit a plateau with my current fitting and need some advice on a better fitting for my missle boat
this is what i got now
high
6x T2 torps
mid slots
four racial hardeners
2x shield boost amp
xl booster
low slots
2x CPR T2
3x CFC T2
rigs
3x CCC
its stable and has 777 DPS
i am getting 63km with jav torps
and 33km with fury torps and 1062 dps with the fury torps
i am running medium drones to take out the frigs and drones and the torps take care of the cruisers and bigger

dont know what trolling is but i am just looking for some advice I have been playing eve for about three years and have two accounts i want to start making some real isk and doing something different also not sure if the drake to raven hamstering is ment for me but not sure what that means any help is much appreciated

just seems like there has got to be something better i have been running basically the same fitting for like two years and seems to me there has to be something better i switch to cruise missles making it a bit easier because of range and that sort of thing but basically the active tank and beef up the dps and thats it what could i do better

Use range as your tank, add some gank.
I have a very effective raven fit which works incredibly well and it's difficult to go wrong, even when horrifically drunk

Painter isn't pointless, it means you do more damage to them and your drones will be able to hit them harder.
Cruise > torps because cruise have a lot greater range. Use range as your tank

Most pirate factions do very little damage when you are beyond 60km. So your fit keeps you inside that 60km sphere and you get pounded. You switch to cruise, you move to 100km or so, BAM! You can kill stuff with very little received damage, which means you need little tank, which means you can fit dps mods, which means you kill stuff even faster.

The only exception are the guristas. Their bloody missiles reach to 250km or so.

though i can not see how my looking for advice would be considered trolling , i am not and i seem to be the only one who does not know what that means , but anyway i am not looking for for advice on internet slang usage or starting points I am looking for an effective high level mission running raven missle boat to run together with my alt thanks to all for any advice you have and will offer eve is getting a bit boring to me but I lo0ve it and want to change things up a bit and really start making isk i m also working on PvP boats as well but need to make some isk to pad the account so my inevitable pvp losses will not hurt so much as it is i am spending most of my play time grinding out lvl4 for playing time isk i want to run level five but the DPS is to much to survive

good point on the cruise to torps comparison specially on the Level 5 missions taking away some tank will also allow for a coupkle signal boosters to increase target range great suggestion

If you're posting a fit like that as a 2010 player it's going to make you look like a troll. People troll these and pretty much any other form all the time. If it doesn't apply to you don't get your feelings hurt. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you've just not had corp mates to help you and the computer savvy to search the web for the information. It can be really hard to find a good corp but that makes all the difference.


By saying "the DPS is to much to survive" I'm guessing your tank is failing. Use specific hardeners to the mission damage types. Look up the missions on Eve Survival to find out what damage to do and resist.

Tell me more of these pointless target painters? I'm genuinely curious.

Anyways, for a relatively inexpensive fit the one you're hating on for the painter is a good start.

If you want to spend some isk, use a couple of med deadspace boosters in the mid and drop the capacitor booster.

I plan on living forever.......so far, so good.

This is just my opinion...

1. Drop the Torpedoes and install Cruise Missiles.
2. Replace your low slots with 3-4 Ballistic Control Systems.
3. Replace the rigs with Rigors/Flairs.
4. Replace one of your mids with a Target Painter.

The overall effect will be better applied damage at range.
