Hi everyone ~ This is my first EVER post on EVE forums, even thought I've been an EVE player for many years now. I've always looked at the game as 'it is what it is, it can be better, the devs will try to make it better', and so I've always tried to accept the 'status quo' of everything in it. Even though I'm Gallente by race, I've really come to like flying Amarr and Caldari vessels, and nothing wrong with that at first glance.. but I've also embraced Amarr and Caldari philosophy for ship using, and flying, as well as design. One thing that I've come to love about Amarr vessels is their attention to detail on symmetry. And the thing I like most about Caldari is their lack of it.. for example, up until the latest graphics packs, I absolutely loved the look of the 'Scorpion'.. then afterwards even though the new look is great.. seems like the old scorpion design simply disappeared. I do wish it could at least be left for use on another type or alternate type of battleship for Caldari.. such as the 'Widow'.. but that's a discussion for a different day.

When I look at Amarr ships, naturally I like to see more symmetry then not, and while I know that's not the case with all, as all the races have both symmetrical and non-symmetrical ships for use, I try to see Amarr ships as an embodiment of perfection.. and in that sense, the best way to express it is that usually one side shouldn't have something extra while the other does not.. as could be justified in some old Amarr designs such as the 'Sentinel' or 'Coercer' designs. Both are of non-symmetrical lineage.. but when this pattern repeats on something more advanced and produced in the future.. that creates both a sociological and ideological difference for me with the traditional Amarr philosophy. I am of course speaking as the topic says.. about the 'Omen / Zealot' hulls. Both seem to have an extra 'arm' resembling a 'shield' on one side, while the other is left completely barren. Now I would be ok with both situations.. if let's say the 'Omen' didn't have any 'arms' at all.. and the 'Zealot' was given both 'arms'. However, just having one arm is not good for me, because I can't choose either one to fly, due to my constant struggle with the ideology and dogma of the Amarr self-perfectionist that I have become. If it is at all possible please help by solving this complex graphical conundrum for me, as I'm sure most pod-pilots would just ignore this and concentrate on the stats themselves, where as I am more into the visual appeal an aesthetics of a given design or vessel first and foremost.

Request:

My request is very humble and simple. If at all possible, please either fix or give us the option to choose / fix / make the graphical look of the Omen / Zealot hulls symmetrical in nature, so that they either have one 'arm' or 'shield', or both 'arms' or 'shields'.. but not just one on one side and nothing on the other.

Thank you very much for your time, and I look forward to any feedback I get on this.. Big smile

I second this notion! Please CCP! Please make Omen/Zealot symmetric! That little tumor/hump drives me insane!

No! Asymmetrical ship stays.
