Wow. This was the first thread I clicked on today and I was not disappointed.

Now, more than ever, we need a dislike button.

I would like a real missile pirate faction ship for cruisers. If I wanted drones I'd get the Gila. Make another cruiser pirate faction for missiles please.

100k is way to big. Also, giving them specialized bays that are all larger than the normal cargo hold was the entire point of the indy rebalance. At the moment, nobody flies any Gallente hauler other than the Itty 5 because is it better than the others in every single way.

No, you can be vague, confusing and unintelligible there, just like you were here.

Vague - ok the new changes to indys are a ******* joke and only quafe t-shirt wearing fan boys who say awesome all the time will basically say its awesome.

The Miasmos is an awesome hauler, especially for deadspace mining operations. You can fit a MWD onto it and give it enough capacitor to get 2 minutes of MWD goodness out of it. All of this while hauling 50k m3 of ore! It's more manoeuvrable, easier to skill into and less expensive to lose than a Mackinaw. This makes it an awesome ship for rookies to fly in mining operations.

Don't worry though, the pirate frigate rebalance will come in time, and you'll have a whole lot more to complain about as your favourite fitting is swept away like yesterday's chaff.

I also got a headache from that OP, but I'll try and give answers.

First off "Pirate ships" are planned to receive both buffs and nerfs for most of them. These have not been finalized, but "general consensus" is that sansha ships will be buffed in general. Blood raider frigates and cruisers will be buffed, but not the battleship. Angel ships will receive a few nerfs/tweaks here and there. And the vindicator will receive a minor nerf in one area and a buff in another. Noone really knows about gurista ships except the devs themselves. (These range from light evidence of past changes, to pure speculation.) Only thing known for sure is they ARE getting rebalanced.

As for industrials, I'm fond of the changes, they are keeping gallente ships the most capacity, but as specialized roles. And giving the bestower the most overall generalized capacity when maxed out. (Mother of god, Amarr gets the best at SOMETHING other than buffer tanking.)

Why carry ore in one ship, refine it, put it in a mineral ship, produce ammo and put the final product in a third ship.

Well most would manufacture in the same station as they're refining in...

You don't have to use a specialist bay you know, they're an added convenience - if they aren't convenient then don't use them.

You fail at writing haikus.
5-7-5 is not the only form of Haiku (see: Jiyuritsu). You fail at critiquing Haiku.

There's a different/unique balancing philosophy behind each: T1, T2, and Faction ships. T2 ships tend to be more or less uniformly buffed T1s, in principal. Faction ships are asymmetrically buffed beyond T2 in some respects, but not buffed much if at all beyond T1 in others. ...at least that's how I see it. I can't really compare the classes / categories of ships beyond that.

tl;dr; NO

Is this a thread about spaceships or t-shirts?

It's called tiercide because a major part of the ongoing rebalancing effort involved removing tiers.
It's not the only aspect because many other things are also being done, e.g. reassessing the roles of different ships and ship classes, fixing power relations between T1 and T2 ships, giving T3 ships a clearly defined role that doesn't impede on T2 ships, and making sure that modules are also given clearly defined roles that aren't overpowered or underutilized.

Enjoying the rain today? ;)

No body wants Pirate Faction Ships improved, hmm.

Its a rebalance drive, not an improvement drive.

4 different 50k specialist cargo bays, instead of just giving every races largest indy 50k+ general cargo space. REALLY !!

Yes lets just do away with different ships and have everything the same! Why bother with frigates -> titans, lets just have one ship and be done with it.

Kaillon Huren wrote:
Would it be interesting to have a 100k cargo bay and use the races differences to tank the ship to avoid ganking.

No, obviously.

Also, what do you have against t-shirts?

For the record
Meta 0: T1
Meta 1–4: Named
Meta 5: T2 / T3
Meta 6: Storyline
Meta 7–10: Faction (pirate generally being 1 level above the corresponding navy item).
Meta 11–13: Deadspace / Officer

Pirate faction ships are pretty much all Meta 8.

I'm too lazy to check the actual database dump but from general gameplay behavior (skill requirements, overheating behavior) meta 0-4 and meta 6-13 are all T1.

Even in colloquial usage claiming that meta 1-4 are not T1 strikes me as highly unusual.
