Second Decade Collector Edition survey is on the going! (Updated: C.E. Promo Pack)

Just got a mail adressed to my active account, asking how I think of the Second Decade edition.

Interesting points: they ask among other stuff wether you like/dislike specific items, what you like most, what you like least, and what would make it more appealing.

I, obviously, asked to get exclusive and never seen before clothing items... and specified "never seen before" as in "not just something that it's unreleased in Tranquility but can be purchased at Singularity"

To include something that's actually unique and useful in the actual game, you know, the one with spaceships and stuff would be a good start.

Unique ships smell of either pay-to-win or loot pinata.

And interestingly enough, one of the most appealing items it's the Golden Pod, which can't be lost, traded nor destroyed and also is completely useless... but is Cool (TM).

I don't see how a Collectors Edition Battleship with unique design and stats balanced to not be better than any other battleship would be paying to win when you can buy a GTC and swap that for two plexes and buy 10 battleships of your choice with the plex money.

I reckon Tippia AKA IthinkI'mTheArchitectFromTheMatrix has something to say about that.

Luckily, it's a closed matter for me because there is no difference so don't even bother Tippia.

Great. I currently don't have access to that e-mail account. [I'm moving. The mail server is in storage.]

This is why it is really stupid for sites to use e-mail address for the account login.

I can login with EVE account, but it shows Musterbrand e-mail address not EVE e-mail address.

As for the items, I think the price is high because of the gold used to plate pods. Blink

Even if it only offers average stats, potentially you can sell it for more than it costs you, due to its rareness. Being a giant bullseye, the last ones will be worth way, way, way mroe than any amount of PLEXes. Rarity is a commodity too, just go and try to find any of the AT ships for less than a hundred billion.

The Golden Pod, OTOH, is both desirable (it's rare & exclusive) and worthless (can't be transferred, sold nor lost). It's perfect gift, but a tad in the short end to be worth 150 €.

It's not worth much if there's ten thousand copies of it. Alliance tournament ships are worth alot because there's what, 20 of them?

Yes, it would be valuable but if you convert 150 euros to plexes you get what.. 5 bil? With 5 bil you could buy that bs for sure, there's no way the collectors edition BS would be worth 5b, 500 mil maybe. 500 mil is a joke, not even worth discussing.

Ranting on about a Collectors Edition being shipped with a ship thats potentially worth as much as one plex is just.. mind blowing.

I told them 100ish would've been more fair, that I really didn't care for the danger game nor the Dust stuff and that the 60 day starter should've been a GTC.

I miss a poster or two (1 eve and 1 dust) from it. I have never seen one single collector's edition in my life without at least 1 poster.

Pretty sure you can sell the implant for the golden pod if you have not plugged it in first of course.

I've still got like 8,000 free AUR to spend among my girls. "Giving away" more stuff for 150 € should not be their biggest concern...
