Was this intended? I see the patch notes saying the Republic Fleet Firetail got buffed, but I didn't think it would now not only compete with the dramiel but out do it in most cases.

If anything I guess the dramiel would still be the better kiter, but even at max skills the dramiel's dps is barely over the firetail's and only due to drones.

I guess what im trying to say is, why is a faction ship as good if not possibly a little better than a pirate ship?

Dramiel and Succubus seem to be gimped in comparison to the other Pirate Frigates but is there possible buffs coming to them? Or it is that they were overpowered way back that they been nerfed into oblivion?

The fits tested were different combinations of:

Shield tank/ Max DPS for pve.
Armor tank/ With common pvp/tackler modules.

and a whole bunch of other setups for certain scenarios.

For my money I wouldn't worry too much about a dramials DPS. The hull is too expensive to throw into a real frig brawl any ways considering the ever narrower edge it has to the T1 condor and slasher to kite it around.

I use it the same way you would use a crow or stiletto in gangs. Get the initial snag of the chosen target and hold on long enough for heavy tackler to take over. Then burn away and move to a tac. If I am not too cooked at that point I then move my attention to harassment of the opposing light tackle and or popping drones.

As a frig brawler it gets way out classed but (as far as I know) it hasn't ever really shined toe to toe with anything half decent in the role.
