New Bonuses Armageddon or Armageddon Navy Issue for Sansha Anomalies ???

Moved space my Ishtar isn't cutting it against Sansha's so need something that can get 20m ticks

DPS is the main goal (most importantly projected and sustained dps) while being able to tank up to a Sanctum

Haven't seen much discussion on the updated armageddon hull vs sansha rats so im interested to see what people think.

Regardless of ship i will be using 5x sentries not moving and have lights in bay for emergencies.

Apoc's dps just won't cut it and Abaddon although being one of my favourite ship hulls will struggle w/o sentries/cap bonus.

Thoughts ??? (This is just for anomaly smashing btw esculations will be done in something smaller [Tengu eventually])

Navy apocalypse with a full rack of tychoon (can't spell,smart phone) and t2 or faction crystals , not the most effective mission runner but the dps is fine, particularly against sansa.

With a t2 or faction cap booster this can keep going for longer than you'd think, provided your cap related skills are high enough

Thanks for the imput but i don't see the need to spend almost 120m more on an apoc navy over a geddon navy to reduce my dps and ability to drop t2 sentries to deal with damps.

It's between the two geddon hulls realisticallyjust haven't seen much discussion on how the newly bonused t1 hull fares

20M sustained ticks is easy to pull in a drone exclusive Dominix using gardes at 70km warp in, havens+. Just fit 4 drone damage mods. The ishtar will be buffed to same efficiency next patch.

Armageddon will lack drone optimal range to get the sweet spot of gardes. It makes up for it by fitting cruise missiles, which are not affected by tracking disruption.

Navy armageddon has had its niche role of ganking gate havens and forsaken hubs a bit nerfed, but still does it. Do not use n-geddon if you don't have access to those sites in numbers.

NM, Golem, TFI are your better all around options. Best option for null ratting is carrier.

My carrier is my personal to and fro from null ship so i am not in the position to use that to rat or buy a NM (although i have the skills to fly it perfectly)

My missile skills are non existant at 2m while my gunnery is almost 17m so going for guns is a no brainer.

Have t2 drones across the board but found the ishtar boring as a day to day anomaly boat (amazing for esculations though) so want something gun based. Will be using a cap booster and charges instead of cap rechargers as it just suits me better to use my extra slots to buff out my resists and tracking/optimal range and a nos in spare high possibly.

Used to do ring sanctums in a 2.5bn isk machariel getting 32m ticks a couple years ago before i took a break and this approach worked great on that ship (loved its damage projection)

I think my mind is made up although i didn't really get much insight into the new geddon hull.

He issue with the new geddon hull against sansha, as well as on navy geddon, is the horrible optimal range and tracking when tracking disrupted. This obviously doesn't effect a missile geddon variant.

TD is a game changer for turret boats if you want to reach high ticks in the anoms. From my experience (outdated to before drone damage amps!) the navy geddon in pulse setup was made for just one thing: park at 0 in gate havens and forsaken hubs, gank spawns before they get range with multifreq.

If it still works and ticks good with the said sites, your skills can pull it off perfectly. What I can't help you with is whether an armor damage projector setup would actually work better than the normal 8 damage mod setup. I think it could:

• tank: 2 slot + rigs + sentries
• gank: 3 dda, 3 faction hs
• projection: fn omni, 2 tc, sebo (scanres)
• cap: regen between sites warp, possibly rigs
• +3 laser implants or pvp swap

Is where I would start. You need to test it with backup to see if it ganks through the static spawn sites fast enough. It's really pushing it, but a potential anti-sansha vindicator. The sebo can be a web; its purpose is to allow blapping of TD cruisers and frigates before they aggro and cause issues. During first spawn slowboat in the epicenter and sit there to get potshots at 0 transversal. Indicate gate havens by probing with cancelled warps for text box. Do this warp probing during the kill of last rats, hold align and pull drones when you get a gate haven.

The reason you need a good system is that gate havens allow cap regen before first spawn while still ticking decently.


EDIT: ticks reach 35M average if you make it work.
EDIT2: standard 14 garde carrier ticks 40-50M without hassle or ammo cost.

How does this navy Geddon setup deal with scrambling frigs? Small drones are, of course, the obvious answer but with the new npc ai and the mediocre dps of small drones i found them to be a bit mediocre, especialy when i have to get out fast.

Navygeddon is doing the trick for me anyway.

25m wallet ticks with no implants using t2 gardes and hobgoblins., lost 1 sentry and 3 lights killing a triple elite frigate spawn though, they track so well against the poor drones, oh well.

It's just what i was after anyway so im happy.

Im sure i could get that up to 30m per tick in a sanctum.

My only dissapointment is that conflag/multi does immense dps out to about 25km then if you lose the dps race and let a BS get range you need to switch to scorch and sps drops a fair bit.

Feels like there should be a dps viable halfway point but there isnt.
