As the title says, I want to create a mission running alt, (or re-train this toon).

What would be the best route to go down, ie, race and ship type, with so many out there to choose from, I want to make sure that I can get there and start making iskies as quickly as possible.

Many thanks in advance to all those that help me out!

Each race has good ships. But if its just for missions, pick Caldari. Drake and Raven can be flown with relative low skills and both are quite versatile ships. You can then upgrade to a Caldari Navy Raven...

I started as Amaar, and amarr ships are great, but the damage type limits me to amarr space...

Go Caldari, train Missiles, avoid any faction missions to keep standings high. This way you can mission and/or haul to Jita with great standing.

The flip side is the amount of missions you will need to run will likely make you poke your eyeballs out.

Good luck!

I hear there is this thing named a Machariel.

Supposedly it's still quiet a baddie, when it comes to PVE.

I really like the sentry Navy Domi too.

Best and Fastest are two very different things.

Rattlesnake is best.

It also takes the most amount of SP to fly effectively.

Plenty of T1's already mentioned can help you on the way.

The Mach is good too if you are looking for the most from the least SP.

Good luck.

Maelstrom to Machaeriel, fly in Minmatar space.

RS is best if you want to fly missions for all 4 races.

NM is best if you want to fly Amarr missions only.

RNI is... not best at any race because RS out DPS's it and has drones for when its jammed, and just as many utility slots for ECCM. Its great, but not best.

Vindi is best for Gallante with Domi nipping at its heals so close its not worth the extra money time and effort.

The most fun overall is the typhoon fleet issue, but it takes wicked skill/SP to get it to apply its massive DPS. And isnt as good vs Angels.

The only way you are going to get those killer LP conversions you hear about is by getting the tags yourself, which screws your standing over.

just how many rattlesnakes did you buy before the bubble burst? I like the ship, I just have issues with sentry platforms as I think moving is a big plus in many missions.

racial recommendations look good. But LP conversions should use some sort of average price for tags, personally I use jita average from the table, as that is easy to find, and should be a pretty good representation of the price I pay for tags. sure I'll try to buy with buy orders, but that is just extra profit.

Without doing buy orders, most of the conversions were weaker than buying ammo outright then selling it outright. But then the LP store never was my forte. I'm a strong believer in "bird in hand" gameplay.

I guess it depends on your definition of many, but there are missions where you need to loot cans or fly to jump gates, there mobility is a plus.

Normally you would fit both MWD and MJD if you are using sentry drones, it solves most mobility problems. There are missions where turrets are better, and also missions where sub-battleship is optimal. It never hurts to have more then one ship, but as you main ship, the dominix with sentry drones is a solid choice.
