Probe Formations?

Just an idea I had pop into my mind that I thought I would share, the idea of probe formations. Basically, it would be a preset selection of formations that can be used to lay out your probes. Instead of manually adjusting your probes into the formation you want then moving/resizing them, you simply select "Diamond":

.. o
o o o
.. o

And get the above result to pop up, you select where you want to deploy the formation and all probes will warp together to a respective spot in the formation. At that point all you have to do is select analyze and work on focusing it down, which is easy enough by using shift.

There could be a few other selections based on the amount of probes being used and a player could even lay out probes and "save" their relative positions as a formation. This isn't a game breaking idea, it's simply a bonus addition that would be a nice feature that would make scanning a little quicker and less tedious. Basically right now you have to lay them out relative to each other manually, this would allow the probes to simply warp into a formation you've preselected.

Move all probes by holding shift. We do need a function where when you decrease scanning range, existing formation automatically scale down though.

Yeah I know you can move all probes once they are in the formation you want together. You still have to manually put them in that formation. I'm saying a feature that warps them into formation so you don't have to manually position each one to start off with would be handy :)

You can achieve this by holding shift and draging on the edge of the sphere, then all the probes would be scaled (maybe you need to select all the probes first)

By holding alt and dragging the probe you would scale the size of the formation (not the size of the sphere or moving the position)

Probing is way too fast and easy already, so I don't like this. Also this makes the difference between good and bad probe user smaller. So no for me.
