I don't really do the forum thing,

But i would like to say a big that you to TEST for an awesome fight tonight vs RvB Ganked (public roam).

We were already on a high (Ganked) after our earlier carrier kill. then it all went a little quite for us. After many uneventful Jumps we landed in a TEST low sec staging area (or i think it was anyway).

We had a few scouts in the system looking around our fleet being 150+ strong consisting of missile boats from ravens, caracels and corax's and any thing else that could chuck missiles out.

We Jumped in, there fleet also estimated around 100+ landed 50 KM off our Gate. Now its on.

They fielded zealot's, prophecy's and logi's against us. We only had 3 Logi's if you count the bantom lol.

We had our Tackles in and missiles flying we were taking out there fleet to start with mostly thanks to our FC's (withheld names don't want them primary do we Blink ).

The fight started at 22:15 as there fleet started warping around and there numbers dwindling we were thinking this is going well, then BANG Cyno detected but its 20+ AU away in jumps a Archon and a Chimera. Now we are thinking oh No.

But the Carriers did not interfere and simply docked up, The TEST Fleet now starts to reship but NOT upshipping keeping the fight going we are now losing ships and begin to dock and to our amazement theres a good market not JITA cheap but ok so we begin reshipping and getting back into the fight.

The fights going backwards and forwards we are losing ships TEST is losing ships but both fleets are just throwing ship after ship into the fight both taking loses both getting kills.

The fight lasts for almost an hour the deciding factor being the market starts running out of ships and so the Ganked fleet had to abandon ship and get out either flying or the ever popular Ganked mode of transport the POD EXPRESS :).

So I would like to say again thank you TEST for being great sports and giving us a great fight this is one of my Top 3 Fun fights i have had in EVE in my 10 years playing,

But do us a favor.... get more ships on the market Big smile

You had 150+ fleet and only 3 logi?

ONLY 3 LOGI??

Dear RvB: a proper fleet should not leave its staging system without at least 20% logistics. Stop teaching highsec players to be bad and not train logistics

A bit of this.

For every 100 combat/boost/recon ships fielded you should bring 15 logis, if you can get past this mark then your fleet is simply close to invulnerable provided your logi pilots are "aware". Logis are really OP once they stack numbers so why not use them?

Because it makes fights more boring if nothing dies?

Anyway.. sounds like you had a great blast duking it out with them.. so in the end.. they held the field, but who got the most kills?

You miss the point to GANKED, we aim to die in a glorious Ball of Fire, we do this for fun not to survive or take over systems this is Fun PvP not 0.0, so its not serious we do it for a laugh if we come back alive we have failed and may CCP Fozzie have mercy on our souls.

Pretty even on kills but even when you remove the carrier kill we won the ISK war :)

You know what's more fun than dying in a ball of fire?

Leaving your enemies in tiny little balls of fire and coming back with your ships alive and glorious kms and adrenaline of a gf.

It takes no skill to die. It is only simpletons that claim that they don't care about dying and only want to have fun. BTW, look at the biggest 'lassez-faire' alliance in the game right now... evicted, living in a ghetto, while all its competent members jump the sinking ship (if they hadn't already). I sure hope they're having fun now, at least they should be free of ratting drama, no limit on how many concurrent L4's people can do while there are only so many sanctums in a system.

I too like the smell of imaginary napalm incinerating imaginary people in a an imaginary country in an imaginary war. It smells like imaginary victory!

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

Your still missing the point of ganked. There is no fleet comp.there is a theme; Missiles, ships that look like dinosaurs (that was quite fun) MJD BS (also very fun) so if noone wants to fly logi, noone flys logi. Its there for fun. making a few people fly logi might make it unfun for those people.

I realize this may be some kind of slosh op which is cool. My point was: I hope that training corps/alliances which may be seen as stepping stones like E-UNI and RVB are giving their pilots the tools and training they will need to have an enjoyable eve career.

Let me understand this correctly. Are you saying that you fit your fleet hoping to die, but upon running into TEST forces you mopped them up by mistake?

Ah, the joys of TEST, providing us continued content in lowsec.

We Do aim to get some kills and hopefully a great fight like this on.

I am pretty sure if TEST wanted to they could of easily upped ship or Hot dropped us that has been done to us in the past making a bit of a boring fight for both sides ok, they may have won easily but no FUN.

I play this game for FUN I did not intend this thread to turn into a flame/slagging thread and for that I apologies to RvB and TEST.

I just hope the TEST fleet involved enjoyed it as much as the GANKED fleet did.

First off, RvB is not in any way a training corp. It's a simple way for people to have drama free PVP .

If the OP had a fun fight (and it sounds like he did), then mission accomplished. That is what RvB is all about.

And don't even get me started on E-UNI...

I assure you that TEST could not have done any of those things. Right before they decided to give up Delve, they lost a ratting carrier there to like 6 goons. There was something like 200 TEST guys in system and a few were actively trying to form a fleet to defend the carrier. But no one wanted to.

I'm pretty sure just about no one but the spies and awoxers are enjoying any TEST fleets nowadays.

Gonna correct you on this. They do try to facilitate the training of new FCs, if only to ensure that there's somebody on at all times to lead a hilarious kitchen sink fleet roam.
