This was a posting i made earlier and I felt like some of this needs to be moved here as it is possibly a suggestion which could make the newbies more educated while providing the PVP people with more individuals who might end up being better pilots, what is stated here is an opinion and only you can decide if drastically adding tutorials and other tools within the game dynamic to better educate individuals on the tools (currently, and in development) would benefit the EVE community as a whole...

{{ Now after some reflection I dont think CCP wants us to live in high sec but then again its our job as a community to teach those who dont know how to survive in low sec to do so, because whether we like it or not, we are spending our lives training the skills and well some of us dont have the money for plex cards to boost our starting capital but mostly how does one start from nothing without resorting to mission running/bounties... I guess I see what you and others are saying but at the same time perhaps we are being doormats to these individuals because we want to deep down trust eachother and so we feed the fire in order to keep the motivation? All i can say is I am not being hypocritical but I did take a new look into the system and I see things now from both perspectives...

My bottom line... A mentor system needs to be put into place for those who want to venture out and have it be deadspace null or low sec to teach what could and will happen and that if you are killed during this tutorial you dont lose your ship or its fittings but rather you fly in a premade system ship in which suits your experience... I think honestly we should have the tutorial interview the players and then base a scenario on that algorithym. I think if the game states we can be what we want to be based on the introduction now... Perhaps all we need are changes to the tutorials and again the implementation of a mentorship program Now this would prepare everyone new or old into the challegenges to face then if someone wants to sit in the station for their existence here in EVE then its their progrative. However as it stands we need tweaks to the foundation so that new players have resources and not just be pointed to websites to fend for themselves. Perhaps if we spend our lives skilling why not have the game reflect this in tutorials and what skills are needed e.t.c and base your decision school and skill books on that profession.. if you want to proceed down a secondary path you must obtain and visit the tutorial agent who will not provide you the same books as if it was your primary and well I think personally this could offset alot of the problems with ragequit }}

As stated in the post that i made previously I feel like the following changes would be beneficial to EVE as a whole and perhaps give newbies and veterns a way to co-exist without targeting eachother on the boards and making EVE a place for both carebears, and the PVP enthusiast or the Neutral parties (lets not forget them)

1) Establishing more detailed tutorials covering the tracks and giving missions and books based on those professions and keeping the player immersed in the profession until they are sent to their first story arc which should provide them with the final legs of their chosen profession before they are finally immersed in the story and then told that we have given you the tools, now its time to make New Eden your new home.. If you have another profession interest as a secondary please be advised that you will have to buy the books listed and develop them and visit ________agent at the __________ station to further your career, are you still interested... if not... Please comeback and see__________agent in ________station when you are ready to pursue this further.. Fly safe

2) Mentorship program (____ mininum SP/LP Required and must be over 18 years old)

3) use of the EVE voice program even if its casual to promote its use, most players use external programs and it would be nice to use this program for what its intended. However again the use of this program would have to have the 18+ disclaimer on some channels if we were to make it groups oriented to discuss things of various topics.

These are just a few ideas, I think brining in new people would be great but preparing them for their future is even better.
