Introduction
Sov holding entities with their own stations in 0.0 space should be able to open up a loyalty point store for their members and their blues. This would enable alliances to more easily incentivise the type of behaviour they want their members to be actively involved in by offering alliance LP as rewards.

This would require a significant amount of work developing a system whereby LP are automatically assigned to members and/or blues based on achievements. Here are some possible examples:

  • 1 LP for every 1 million ISK in kills. Encourages PvP
  • 20 LP for every capital ship kill. Encourages cap ship killing
  • +15% LP on all kills using a particular ship. Encourages use of doctrine ships
  • +10% LP on all kills where a +5/+10 character is on the killmail. Encourages inter-alliance cooperation

  • It doesn't have to be PvP related either. The same basic principle could be used to encourage PvE activities, industrial activities, market trading... the possibilities are limited only by CCP's code monkeys. More examples:

  • 1 LP for every NPC bounty collected.
  • 1 alliance LP for every *insert NPC faction here* LP collected.
  • 50 LP for every cruiser hull manufacturing job submitted at an alliance facility.
  • 2 LP for every 1,000 units of *insert market commodity here* sold to another alliance member.

  • Mechanics
The player owned LP store would have to be populated and all the prices set by alliance members with the appropriate roles. The filters which determine LP rewards would also have to be set up by a trusted alliance member with appropriate roles. Finally, it should be possible to manually reward LP to pilots who achieve something deserving of a reward but which is not met by one of the filters e.g. hero tackler. New roles would have to be created for these purposes.

It should be possible for entities which are blue to each other to exchange their own LP for those of a friendly alliance, at a player defined exchange rate. For example...

  • Alliance A holds sov space.
  • Alliance B rents systems from alliance A.
  • Members of alliance A can exchange 2 of their LP for 3 of alliance B's LP.
  • Members of alliance B cannot exchange their LP for alliance A's LP at all.
  • OR Members of alliance B can exchange 3 of their LP for 1 of alliance A's LP.
  • etc...

  • Conclusion[list]
  • This would be a complicated system which would require a lot of work from CCP devs, but would be very cool.
  • It could be used as a tool to encourage players to engage in the specific activities their leadership wants them to engage in.
  • Did I mention how cool this would be?

  • Plz let me know constructively if you think this is a good idea, a pipe dream, or is in fact a terribad idea and that I should feel terribad for thinking of it.

Perhaps this could be considered at the same time as the corporation management system gets revamped. CCP could call that expansion "EVE Online: Bureaucracy" lol
