New Feature Idea: "Fleet Bookmarks" Folder

Exactly what it says on the tin, plus a few unique security features.

Problem
When people in the fleet are not all in the same corp, they have no way to share bookmarks on the go without copying and jet-canning.

Solution

  • When a fleet is created, a corresponding public bookmark folder is created with it.
  • It is only visible to members of the fleet and only via right clicking in space.
  • When the fleet disbands the folder is deleted from the server and its contents erased.


Potential exploits
  • Spies in the fleet

    • Workarounds

    • None required, spying is a well established meta-game
    • However, if people want them...
    • Only Fleet Boss can add/remove/copy/edit the contents of the folder
    • Fleet Boss can assign a new fleet role called "Fleet Navigator" through the fleet menu.
    • Whoever has "Fleet Navigator" can now edit the folder just like the Fleet Boss.

    Good idea, would really solve alot of problems, and also it could be a easy replacement instead of CCP needing to re-work the entire alliance-code just to have "alliance bookmarks", when instead we could have this.
