That's the thing, you can't just drop some money to be become better at Eve, that takes time and the ability to learn from your mistakes.

As I said earlier a newbie can buy a character that can fly pretty much anything, but they'll still be a newbie, and be just as bad at Eve as any other newbie is, regardless of how expensive their toys or the character itself are.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

What kind of starting point do you mean? New players want to do all that low sec Crap and have no chance to get to the Fun till they have 2 years of training.

just saying, even though i know you'll ignore me and call me one of the ignorant masses, im a 6ish month old player with roughly 7m SP. i have earned every one of them and have had times where the long training was hard to deal with. but instead of doing like you have and turning off the game to let the skills que, i decided that my time would be better spent LEARNING how to use the new skills and mods i can then use.

your problem is that you seem to assume that you are going to know the "proper" way to use the new gear and skills you have acquired off the bat, that you would be able to jump into a Titan class ship tomorrow and fly it perfectly and better than 90% of the players here already. sorry that that is not anywhere near true.

im currently part of a Null alliance because i actually took the time to learn about the guys i wanted to join, talked to them even though i didnt meet all of the requirements that they wanted and joined up. i run fast tackle and scout for them in my "noob" frig most of the days that i have time, and i am learning new things every time i go out.

this obsession with "2 years of sp's" just to have fun is FAR from accurate in the sense of actually finding fun, i would love to have the sp to be able to fly a titan, but i dont need to fly one to have fun playing the game.

SS out

Never said i wanna sit in a titan...not even in a battleship.....but when i see oh bc 2 months to sit in...i have the money well i better go offline for 3 months now befor i can fly that ****.
No fun to me. And in high sec..........wow boredom.

I hope you agtree that in high the very aim of a new player is lvl 4 missions.....yeah lvl 3 no way...i go afk 2 months to make lvl 3
And no chance to gain SP by doing missions. Wtf ?

Paying more money won't make you win. It will only guarantee that when you lose your loss will be greater.

sorry for assuming you can read

edit: sorry, that was mean. have fun in that BC in two months. when you try and join a low/null alliance and they ask you to join them in a fleet and ask you to show what you know, you'll find out real fast how you SHOULD have spent those "2 months" to train. you pretty much missed EVERYTHING i typed out for you so i will give it one more try,

if you want to fly a BC, GREAT. its going to be a little while. there is a reason it takes time, you need to learn to fly a frig first because you need to learn to fly. you need to learn that when a FC says for a tackle to fly ahead, he probably isnt talking to you, and that they need you to get out of a bubble, you know why. you need to know that a bomb on grid is very nice for the person who layed if the people he is attacking dont know NOT to fire their prop mods( i learned that last night :D ). these are not things you will learn offline while you wait for your BC so you can hit those golden level 3/4 missions.

if you do offline until you can fly that BC and jump right into a 3/4 mission i will come and post in the thread i know you will start and tell you i told you so, after you lose your 50~m ship.

If you can just drop some Dollars and be better than anyone else that has wasted 2 months of being offline....just comming in to change a skillque.......doesn't sound right. Doesn't even sound like a game.

In fact this is no game. It is paying for a promise....if you keep paying you will become great !

i would also love to fly a titan properly fit and with proper skill in 1 month or less

also if you no longer consider this a game and aren't having fun them for your own safe you should stop play and this is no troll

And when you log back on because you've finally trained for that battlecruiser, you won't have a clue how to use it properly and then whine like a little baby when it explodes, because you failed to learn anything in the time you spent logged off instead of flying smaller ships learning about game mechanics and concepts.

We've seen it all before, and no doubt we'll see it again next week.

If you have enough money? Buy a char...people explain how you fly ....maybe 2 hours? And there you go. If you need more than 2 hours you are bad !

Look i played Anarchy Online for all of you that think EvE is complicated....i can laugh about that. Go Eve try to "Fit" a lvl 156 Weapon into a lvl 50 Char........Or try to fit a totw 2hander in a sub char.

this is the point youre arguing against..... why pay real money for 50 BC when you could actually spend some time in a lower level ship and LEARN something, and how not to lose that ship instead of just plexing the ships....

anyway, everyone needs to stop banging their heads against the wall for Caesarion, he obviously doesnt want to learn, he just wants to jump right in

understand you??? i understand you, you want a free alt with 10M SP and try to convince other people because that is the right thing to do without even care what they say

10M SP free alt would be terrible people could create an infinitives numbers of alts and with a multibox program they could destroy the game so after the trial period the toons stopped play and another number of infinitive toons would be created

but them again to you i wrong stuff like these would never happen

So SP do matter after all? And btw people do this every day. 500k subs 50k at peaks........
If 10% play the game you have a problem. Not for CCP ofc. they just need 500K subs.....LoL every minor Patch is celebrated as "AN EXPANTION"

F2P Games bring out Contentpatches regularly.....CCP calls "Expantions" what other Companys would Patch in the background. It is quit embarrasing.

in the grand scheme of things, a little. but if i tell you that there is a group of guardians with a small fleet of logi with them coming at you, what do you do? do you stand and fight against them in your destroyers or do you run and stay safe? after your 2 months of skill training while offline have you learned what to do and what the proper response to this situation is?

Other companys for 15 Bucks a month go Wild and give tonns of new content.
You go wild for a visual and a minigame....Wooohooow. Big deal. I call cashgrab.

Yes SP still matter special if they are in the wrong places

On the expansion stuff i totally agree with you and every time CCP does a "survey" i write that to them

But back in buying SP incarna riots show what the large (very large) number of players wanted and CCP stop it and then release this
