Help me fill the empty slots (Rattlesnake)

I finally bought my first Rattlesnake for running Lvl 4s every now and then. Yes, it's not the best ship for missions. But I am very fond of its hull model, and they're dirty cheap anyways.

The thing is that, despite extensive research, I cannot come up with a good fit, so I'd like some education. So far I have these modules fit, and I'd like to complete it:

Highs:

-4 x Cruise Missile launcher II
-2 x Drone link augmentor II

Mediums:

-2 x Federation Navy Omnidirectional tracking link
-?

Lows:

-2 x Drone Damage amplifier II
-?

Rigs:

-?

I mostly mission in Gallente space, and I don't know whether to actively or passively tank it. Passive sounds better as occasional disconnects have threatened my ships in the past, but I prefer more gank to ridiculous tank. I use a 5 slot active armor tank in a Dominix as of today, and in most missions I don't even pulse the repper once.

I have both Gallente and Caldari BS V, and perfect T2 Sentries and support. Also, T2 Cruise missiles with perfect support skills (all V, no exceptions) as well, but I can't decide whether it would be a good idea to cram the lows with as many DDAs as possible, or perhaps stacking penalties would make a BCU better at some point, or perhaps missile rigs if I don't fit Purgers, etc.

While I was considering a Large Micro Jumpdrive, slowboating to acceleration gates really gets on my nerves (The Score > gate at 60Km, then gate at 44 Km...ugh), so perhaps a simple MWD (which is what I use in my Dominix) would do with a hefty tank.

Advice and opinions appreciated!

I went for 2 navy BCUs, 3 DDA IIs and a DCII in the lows, an XL ASB, T2 invuln, 2 T2 OTLs, Sensor booster, MJD and an 100 mn AB.

iirc it required a CPU overclocking rig and the rest were rigors, I think.
The XL ASB tanks enough for when things might get hot, but they usually don't as you just MJD away - kill things, jump towards the gate and AB the rest.

With two CPU overclocing rigs, the ASB still tanks ~600 DPS and you could just as well dualprop it with an MJD and MWD, although I didn't deem it necessary.

Interesting indeed. The 5 damage mods + 2 damage rigs configuration is definitely sexy, and while the MJD effectively negates the possibility of ever being in trouble, the XL-ASB can take care of things while you get the hell out of there in case you need it (like in a certain bonus room).

I'll fire EFT to see if some bling would spare me the fitting rig. Or perhaps a Deadspace shield booster instead of an ASB.

Thanks a lot, mate.

I went Gist B XL booster, dread gurista Invuln, and mission specific b type hardener. 3 DLA and 2 navy BCU, and a low CPU DCU. 2 Omnis, Low CPU TP. Last slot is mission specific (i.e. utility not shield) and the low CPU stuff is for when i need an AB in that last slot. One rigor rig, one Drone damage rig, and an EM rig for Sanshas/BR.

Vs Serpentis I drop the DCU and throw in a signal amp, and throw a SEBO+ range script in the open mid. Drop the dread invuln and use 2 mission specific hardeners.

Throws out 1104 DPS with my skills and a little more at all 5's @ 50K. About 950 @ 100k.

No the best mission runner, but possibly the best all around switch fits vs every faction runner. And spectacular damage projection if you dont get greedy and try to run Gardes for every mission.

Using bling or implants will definitely save you the rig, but then again I don't see too much of a downside fitting a CPU rig - it costs you some passive shield regen and a rig slot and you wont get shot for using the ship.

Given I don't run missions a lot and just use them to become acquainted with balance changes whilst owning every navy+pirate faction BS, Marauder and BO, I use cheap fits.

I gave it a try and actually the MJD keeps you out of trouble. With a bit of practice at triangulation, I can avoid slowboating to gates, so I skipped the AB or MWD and went for this:

4 x Cruise Missile launcher II
2 x Drone link augmentor II

1 x Pith A-type Large shield booster
2 x Mission specific hardeners (Thermal and Kinetic 90% of the time)
1 x Large micrp jump drive
3 x Federation Navy Omnidirectional tracking link

4 x Drone damage amplifiers
2 x Caldari Navy BCUs

For rigs, I put 2 x Rigors and a targeting rig, to target beyond 100Km.

That puts the ship around 1 billion (hull & fit) but one thing I absolutely ADORE about the Rattlesnake is that the DPS on paper is actually APPLIED for real, and the projection and damage selection is wonderful.

Now the question is...have I just built myself a small pinhata? I don't think 600ish millions in POTENTIAL loot is blingy, but I wonder if this could be profitable for a small squad of suicide Tornados LOL.
