I'm getting fed up of FW space for pvp. its just not fun. Too full of gangs and tech 2 weapons.

Is there anywhere else to go for frigate level pvp combat?

No I am serious.

I have been at war with corps in my first month of gameplay, have not stopped since then.

I recommend Syndicate. Folks there have moved past t2 so you won't need to worry about that.

Actually, NPC nullsec isn't such "gang booster oriented" pvp. That's one of the things that really destroys the quality of FW PvP, all the off-grid-boosters utilized by every "lol-solo" and small gang pvper!

For NPC null Syndicate is great but hard, Curse is full of camps and Falcons but active.

Red vs Blue is a good suggestion.

You could roam sov null, but its 95% empty with 4% ratter and 1% hell death instalock bubblecamp. That last percentage goes up faster and faster as you spend more time in one area.

I should let you know that you're never going to get away from the nearly everyone using tech 2 weapons. They are common. You should not use it as a discriminating criterion.

Similarly, the only groups that'll shun gangs and fleets are groups who have no vested interest in the outcome of a fight. If a group wants to win, then they'll fleet up and try to exceed the numbers of their opponents. So requiring super-small group PVP or a frigate limitation naturally rules out anything that involves politics, power, ISK at stake, grudges.... And pretty much every other reliable form conflict driver, or group-oriented pvp.

Since coming across another solo PVPer will be less common, while the risk of running across a gang is high, then the only real target remaining is hunting non-PVP ships.

You should also be aware that cruisers are more-or-less the staple size-class in PVP. Restricting things to frigate-scale essentially guarantees your own frustration.

yes but a 30m cruiser is far too expensive for me at present to waste every hour or so as I get blown up again and again.

Thats why I've wasted 100M worth of frigates and moduals in fights this month. To try and kill people so I can get a hang at pvp so I can move up to cruisers. But I'm sucking so bad at present that I don't think I'll ever do.

To me it sounds as if you would need a reliable source for income first.

If you want to stick with the game, figure out how to earn ISK before you try to find ways to blow it.
Blowing is much much easier!

If you want to PvP from the very beginning and do nothing else, try to find a sov-holding null sec corp. Some do give you the ships you need for combat. But that won't be solo or small group.
And even those cops will eventually ask you to actually do something to earn ISK...

In my not so humble opinion, it all boils down to your own ability to generate income.
Get that nailed down and improve your skills while you build up your wallet. Everything else will follow naturally.

Cheers, Ryder

Join a pvp corp / or a null sec corp.

If you have reservations about doing so i would suggest you get over the them.

I have played a lot of mmo and in most games i only join corps for the social aspect .. as one is often off running around the game world alone. As eve doesnt have zones or shards .. it doesnt work that way. When you join a corp you can always group up and do things with anyone that is on and willing.

For pvp this means night after night of small gangs going out to shoot stuff, it means you get to tag along, listen on voice chat, learn what fits to use, how to engage, when to run away .. etc.. etc..

And you can do this in a cheap frig, and be useful .. to say nothing of increasing your life expectancy.

I am not a pvp'er .. but i do have a lot of SP and a solid bank account and i do not roam around low sec in a frig because i will die and lose isk for no good reason. FW could be more fun, but i prefer null sec alliances - being able to do pve in a profitable location with little injections of pvp as things roam through your space, or you have to go protect space, or get involved in alliance wars and drop the pve for a while and go pvp 100%.

History is the study of change.

So again, how much ISK (in ships/ISK) have people sent you so far Paul? My understanding is that this kind of beg scam really only brings in a paltry amount compared to other scams.

While it's true that the monocle, an item that any schmo can buy with CCP's gift AUR, combined with joining PL, does negate any amount of respect you may otherwise have received, I think everyone deserves a going away party. So yes, you can start planning your party.

I'll bring the cake.

Edit: Granted, maybe I could read better with one.
