Am I missing something regarding the Assembly Hall and proposal support counts?

I have a few questions for the current CSM and player base, whoever can answer first.

I can't find the support button in the Assembly Hall. Am I having a total herpaderp here, or is it not present on the current forums?

If its not present, how is the CSM counting up votes for proposals?

I thought I'd post my questions here in case other players are also curious about how to get their voices heard with the CSM council on official terms, the stated mechanics for getting proposals on the table for summit discussions isn't synching up for me with what I see on the current forums. Hopefully I'm missing the obvious here, but if not, maybe there's a more serious issue if there isn't a good system in place right now for player ideas to gain the required support to be made official topic discussions.

Thanks everyone, CSM and community alike...

I find that simply sending the CSM in question a monthly stipend results in the counting of my vote

This button, if it exists, is utterly meaningless anyway.

Well that does explain why Hilmar loves them so much he mentioned them in I think it was the apology letter:
"Good times are coming. They always do when you learn from your mistakes. In 2007, we faced a similar crisis of confidence, and it resulted in the creation of the CSM. We’re a better company because of it."

A better company because they elect people from the player base that at best dont give a **** about us, at worst are trying to destroy the game (and CCP are following their lead).

Actually, they do. I disagree with this completely. The CSM have proven to be quite approachable if you act reasonably and respectfully. I emailed a few of them and received a prompt reply to my question. In general the Winter Expansion is chock full what amounts to 90% content fielded by past and present CSM proposals. Many of the fixes are lifted from forum feedback, passed on to CSM, brought up with CCP, and are now being made real. The CSM has been very clear about their agenda, how they represent players, and we are seeing the fruits of their labor. Any doubts I personally had about the CSM have been washed out through several months of watching the events unfold and speaking with many of the CSM members personally. I now have high respect for the role they play, and the job they've been doing.

Abrazzar is correct, the 25% mechanic outlined in Evelopedia regarding "forcing" issues onto the table with CCP, refers to 25% of the entire playerbase. So, its a rather unrealistic way of bringing up issues with the CSM to present to CCP. The 25% mechanic has apparently never been used, since anything that was that popular has made it to CCP talk level long before that anyways.

Thus, my search for a "support" button on proposals was unnecessary.

We can, however, continue to bring popular lists of items needing fixing to the CSM, obtain an advocate on the council, who can than bring these changes to the CCP meetings, with or without any minimum number of supporters. I encourage anyone else with specific fixes (as supposed to grandiose doctrines, essays, or manifestos) to contact their CSM representatives and continue to share their ideas on the forums.

Ive also send my messages to Vile Rat. He sounded all reasonable and great till Mittani instigated he interdiction, then suddenly I couldnt get a mail back.

Did Mittens say they werent allowed to write back anymore?

Wlell if thats true, than they certainly are not beholden to the commands of the Mittani. I've received personal responses from multiple CSM on various questions the last few days/weeks.

I think their response depends on several factors, chiefly whether they CAN answer a question, whether or not its a serious request or a veiled trolling attempt, and whether its being handled respectfully.

But the CSM are most certainly listening to the players. There's just a ton of stuff on the books, so much of the stuff players want them to share they've already shared, and are waiting just like us on CCP to work through the jampacked development schedule. Upon asking them personally the CSM have been quite frank about sharing how the process works, and how they disseminate player feedback up to CCP.
