Here I sit having earned over 130 million SP and i wonder to myself will i still play when i reach 200 million? at that point whats left to train manufacturing? mining? science stuff!?

i heard that CCP is making a special station just for 10 year vets. though this could just be a troll.

What I would love is when I reach that 200 million mark i get the option to make a Jove Character in one of my spare slots.
I figure its like starting all over again but now you have a rare character that most people in the game do not have.

The clones would be standard (perhaps starting off with high perception and intelligence)

What you do with the new Jove clone is up to you.

forum alt it? go a head.

missing boat it. right on.

potential supercap alt down the road? sure thing.

It would be cool if the alt started up with a special jove noob ship too.

Would you not like to have a Jove character one day? Conversely would you not also like to have a jove Pod kill mail one day too!?

Sure, but I'd make it so they would be the only ones who could hack into other peoples captains quarters and leave dirty messages.

Problem i see with such a high treshold reward is people are going to want it...

New player complaining about the super 200m sp jove guy stomping him bad in pvp or something.

I'd like to suggest a contemplative attitude. Clara Oswald once said: "The souffle isn't the souffle, the souffle is the recipie". It means EvE is a just game, what matters is the experience you make of it.

IIRC CCP employees had Jovian avatars. Then they descended into the mortal realm and created characters from the 4 races

I actually like the idea but only if the new character starts with the same starting skills as every other new character. It really should be like starting all over again, though i think they should have +1 point on every attribute so they can skill faster than other races. They obviously should look really special, have special outfits, backgrounds etc, so you can really tell by the avatar that he is a Jove. It should however only be possible to create such a character ONCE. if you sell it, your only chance to have such a character is gone. If you **** up the character creation you can biomass him and then you get another chance to create such a character. But if you sell him you don't get another chance (that part is really important, otherwise eve will be flooded with those special characters)

Hmm I'm thinking maybe it shouldn't be Jove since jove ships are reserved for CCP and would be too powerful for players and a jove character that can't fly jove ships would be strange. Maybe there is another race in eve that has hidden in their own space, cut off from the others. And finally after all these years they decided its time to let the rest of us in. or maybe we found a way to get into their space (like building new stargates as mentioned at fanfest). That race could be the special race everyone with 200m sp (or after 10 year sub or after having a character thats 10 years old) can create. Maybe with new ships for that race ^^ or maybe just as fancy avatar since they are a race that just always copied the technology of us.

The Jove are, and should stay an unseen race who consider us too backwards to interact with. They should never be a playable race.

Jint Hikaru - Miner / Salvager / Explorer / SpaceBum In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Maybe at 200million skill points your character should become infected with the Jove deficiency and gradually lose all the skill points until your character eventually gets deleted and can no longer make another "can I haz Jove" forum post. Pirate

I don't like the idea of them being a special race. However I do have an idea

In the lore there is an old battle where about 600 Mallers and Apoc's with beam lasers get taken out by a Jove fleet waiting in ambush using tackle Frigate whom hold them down and pop them with a Capital Ship but take some casualties. Since then the Amarr have gotten T2 weapons & ammo, rigs, Zealots, Guardians, Capitals, Supers, Oracles, Legions and a host of other stuff.

The Jove are worried about the closing gap since they are heavily outnumbered. So they create a race of clones to act as vanguard to their border. Now that is dangerous because of technology contamination. For instance the in 1942 an early prototype V-1 Missile was found and shipped to the Allies, a few months before the first V-1 hit Briton the Americans had already reverse engineered their own version. They can't let this happen with their best tech.

So they do what NATO and the Soviet Union did when equipping their proxy armies in 3rd world nations. They create "export models" of their ships. Ships that are equal to the technological capabilities of the empire re-equipping their proxy army of clones with an equal to whatever the Empires create from their technology reserve. This allows them to have a military presence in New Edan to deter the Empires and fight on their behalf.

Where the fifth race part comes in is where clones engineered for loyalty become to smart they and defect they have the mental abilities required to act as capsuleers. Jove NPC's do to being capsule clones are just better at fighting so missions against them are Sleeper AI in nature and they give missions and hire capsuleer service as well.

This way they become a force in the game without ever revealing themselves or the true extent of their capabilities.

I agree with this as im training things for the sake of training really now, what CCP could do is start looking at chars and they can choose how they want to go with training,

Think of Training in a epic arc. They could choose one area (PVP, Invention, Miner, Manufactoring, Exploration, Logisitics) once they choose then there would be specific skills that they could use that that choice but would be excluded from the other areas (Miner could not get skills for invention etc)

this would then allow chars to develop and be much more broad, if you looked at us with over 120m SP we would have mostly all the same skills only difference would be the implants

It would be nice if we one day could make Jove characters....

It could be interesting to say the least, I always imagined that these Jove characters would only be allowed to be in Jove space, and unable to jump clone or suicide clone out... they would have to start from scratch as new characters in this space, and only difference is that this space is basicly disconnected from the rest of eve, besides being able to convo people...

The idea is that this space would be "a fresh start" for those who wanted, nothing on markets, nothing already built, everything would have to be build from scratch again, but this time, you could get Jove ships, it would be the only ships you could get, so it would be Jove vs Jove, not Jove vs amarr or something like that... these ships wouldn't be unfair, as you would both be flying them and against them.

one can dream can't he?

This coupled with the "golden pod" joke is beginning to sound like CCP is once again testing the waters that were proved to be so scalding when Incarna was released...

golden pod you have to pay what like 120 real life money for... but how much RL money costs to get up to 200 million sp... i would like some sort of reward for being loyal that long.

CPP always talks about end game ships being to the titan or SC. and apparently something like 40% of people who skill up that far quit the game right after.

So why not make the end game not really a end game but a new beginning?

CCP never said Titans or SCs would be the end game for players. Actually CCP always says that there isnt really an "end game" in eve because of the diversity of ships and since they all fill different combat roles. your end game content in eve is only defined by you.

The lore just isnt there. The joves one mothership decimated us. You would have to be auto Fw against all factions, they'd need their own hub. Sounds more like an xpac than anything. New jove every type of ship etc etc.
