[Tech 3 Bonus feedback] Different I promise?

I was thinking today about the fact that we missed out on some of the missing tech 3 graphics due to balance, and the idea of adding 5 more pieces to each ship with even more bonuses? I can fully understand why you guys made that call. Lets just keep in mind the art for these missing misses is still at CCP and could be rolled out any time easily, and releasing them would increase the number of ship combinations dramatically.

So I'm sure no dev will even read this since it's crazy busy right now but , ok here's my suggestio, just something to think about.

As you can see every tech 2 cruiser in this class has 15 slots so I find it obviously the 1st step is to limit tech 3 cruisers to 15 slots.

OK so how to go about explaining this idea.... Think of an old childrens book with the cartoons that you could turn the pages and combine the art into different silly animals. But in this case think of it as 5 ships CCPs Art team modeled per race. CCP added 5 brand new tech 3 cruisers to the game and the gimmick is you can mix and match the bonuses!

All pieces give module slots.
Piece one control Powergrid
Piece two controls Cpu
Pieces 1 and 2 control turret and launcher hardpoints , also drones *basically any weapons*
Pieces 3 and 4 control shields, armor and Capacitor *pick buffer or active by trading defense for energy*
Piece 5 controls Max Velocity, CPU, Capacitor, signal strength,


I will go on in the next post with more pieces, but I'm keeping this one shorter. The point is, each set is made by a development company from that race. If a boundless tech 3 cruiser and a munnin Meet face to face they would be the same ship. The advantage the tech 3 ship gets is it can go to a POS or carrier and become a vaga, or a munnin vaga hybrid.

The pure 1/1/1/1/1 2/2/2/2/2 3/3/3/3/3 4/4/4/4/4 5/5/5/5/5 don't have be very different from what we already have in tech 2 cruisers. As it's the same companies making the ships. But the new tech from wormhole space allowed them to make a frame that could share ship pieces, as well as advanced hear sinks

I'm going to draw up examples for the whole line but as you might of seen the idea is some pieces could share bonuses and only differ in slot layout. I want all of the art CCP made in the game! the promise was 1000's of ships! If you take anything from this it's the 5th subsystems should be included in whatever big tech 3 rebalance takes place.


It was an abandoned feature that is worth bring back into the game, come on...
