Upcoming Mindlink Changes

Dear CCP,

Your about to release changes to mindlinks and some more ship re-balancing. Kudos on continuing with the whole re-balance thing. It is making old useless ships useful again and shaking things up a bit.

I have a question though - I see that all of the mindlink changes are going to be through the LP store - to be bought with carebear dollars (LP) vs what we were told at FanFest which was that these would be something that could be related to exploration - goo balancing - ring mining. Scan down sites and harvest the goodies - find a basic implant - then parts to upgrade. Or find a print and then parts to make one. Lots of options.

To be honest i really thought that this was perhaps one of the best ideas that would get people out exploring and open up a whole new industrial avenue. Instead it will be for those high sec incursion runners who pile up the concord LP, or those who stay in high sec to farm the lvl 4s with their pimped machs and 10goos.

Please rethink this - before the market is flooded with them by LP hoarders. Put the links and brain candy where it belongs in the hands of the sandbox - let us make them.

The fanfest discussion you are thinking of was a 'Here's a cool idea to discuss' and was part of the possible features of WiS if they developed it further, not a 'next expansion' feature.

LP should be tradable, if even within a militia or faction in some way.

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

I never said put the implants out there floating about. What I said was give us the skills and tools to find the stuff..mine it..scan it down...build it etc..... Add skills and other things around it and make it a profession. Maybe just put the prints in LP but put the parts and other bits out in space and make people work a bit for it.

Implants have always been LP based. Its part of what keeps mission runners playing the game.
