It has clearly been far too long since our last meet, so it is time to get together again.

I am very lazy, so I am mostly copy pasting from that last post. Last time we had around 15 or 20 people, lets see if we can do better this time. Ali Aras from CSM8 claims that she will make it, so instead of bothering me about stuff you want CCP to do, you can bother her!

Where: Mead Hall (4 Cambridge Center, Cambridge, MA)
When: Saturday, August 10th at 2PM
What: Beer, laughs, food, beer

Directions:

Using the T: Red Line to Kendall Square, corner of Broadway & Ames St
Using the car: Go to local electronics shop and buy a GPS, plug in address, follow that.

x up if you'll be there!

To answer a few questions:

How long will it last?

Generally in the past, meetups have gone a few hours. People will trickle in and out. It's pretty informal.

What should I bring?

Bring yourself and a good attitude. Feel free to bring a laptop if you like, but generally not many have done that in the past. Also, there's no free wifi in the area (that I know about).

What if I'm under 21?

I believe it's fine as long as you do not advertise it and don't try and order a beer. We've been doing the meetups at the Mead Hall for almost a year now and I would like to be welcomed back for future meetups.

Can I share this on my corp/alliance/social media/etc?

Please do! The more the merrier!

Can I bring non-Eve people?

Sure, but they'll probably get bored.

What if I have other questions?

Do not hesitate to shoot me an Eve Mail or ask here! Somehow the space postal agency does work in wormhole space, so I do check my mail!

GoogleGuest might be up and running in that building by then, and might reach downstairs. Nevertheless, I haven't felt the temptation to get out a computer on the meetups I've been to :)

There should be a fairly healthy V.N showing, I suspect.

I will in fact make it! Although, with good luck and gods willing etc, I will be moving into my new place this weekend. HOWEVER, I will absolutely definitely 100% take a break for hanging out with internet spaceships people.

Just FYI they're doing work on the Longfellow bridge over the weekend of August 10, so the train isn't running, but there is a shuttle bus alternative from Park Street to Kendall.

I wish I could make this but I'm hiking Mount Washington on Saturday. Maybe next time. Just an FYI to anyone that is driving to Cambridge. M.I.T. is right next door to Mead Hall, you can park in any non-gated lot at MIT for free on the weekends, I work there so I know.. but in case you don't believe me, here are the links.

Edit: Looks like my hiking is postponed until Sunday.. I might just make this!

Unfortunately, I already have plans. Thought I'd give a couple tips for people though:

1. There is a big parking garage at the Alewife (red line) T-station, which is right where Route 2 dumps into Cambridge. Kendall is only a few stops away.

2. There is also free parking along Memorial Drive which runs along the river by MIT. Kendall square is only a 5 to 10 minute walk depending upon how far down you park.

Enjoy!

Once again its mid paycheck period. *head desk*. I will think about it. Ive missed them all because almost all of my weekends are booked basically (because my 1yr old says so). I am hoping to get there regardless before next aprils big meet there as I wont be going to fanfest so I will try to see if I can go tomorrow.

...um.. fire?

You can always come and just drink some water or something if money is an issue.

We are planning on another one sometime in October as well, not sure where it will be, and we are hoping to get a little CCP support for it.

Also, as an extra sweetener, I am bringing a bunch of 3d printed eve ships and will be randomly giving out a few as prizes

Well, Provi civil war conveniently ended last night, so we actually might not have timers :)

V.N will be there in force.

Coincidence? I think not. The war was actually ended so that all of you can come to the meet.
